I felt safe at the Aparta Azzurra Hotel. Security is maintained well, and the room had a secure place to keep my valuables. The hotel is convenient to the beach, stores, restaurants & money exchange sites, all within an area of a few blocks. They included a nutritious breakfast that I made sure to eat each morning, because it would keep me going for a good part of the day. One feature that I found exceptional is that the owner is right there directing the operation of the hotel. I saw him every day of my stay. I made it my business to rate this hotel because there's also a wonderful hotel that I've come to love in on the Atlantic side of the island, and I now have found a comparable place to stay on the Caribbean side.

The airco was quite dirty and loud. Could use a clean of the airco I think :)

We were allowed to leave our bags while picking up a car and the breakfast was really nice with good coffee!

At 3 AM a dog started barking really loud and some people were taking really loud on street.

It is noisy at night and the rooms are basic.

This hotel is very close to the nighligh and the beach. Good because your are right there. But bad becasue it is noisy at night. They have 24 hr security

For some the music on a Sat. night was loud and difficult to get to sleep

Needed 2 rooms for short stay as we had to leave our rental 2 hours away by 11 am and our flight out of Santo Domingo was not until 4:20 am the next morning. for the 9 of us, this was a perfect spot to reorganize, take a nap and leave at 12:30 am to be at the airport in time.

WiFi dropped a little too often, so that needs improvement. Breakfast service needs to be more streamlined to eliminate the long waits to be served.

Great location just a few minutes walk to the beach and local shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They even went as far as to provide twin beds when requested. This wasn't part of their usual service, so many many thanks!Lots of communal space to chill, by the pool, porch or dining area.

This place looked just like the pictures, the best to describe it is fair. With the price not only me buy my family greed is one of the best breakfasts we ever had even compared to big chain hotels we have been in before. Including sweet and savory options such as bacon and eggs, waffles, pancakes and more, all was server with fresh fruit, juice and a great coffee made by the Italian hands of the property manager/owner himself. He accommodated and helped long the way. As a family of 8, we reserved two rooms and we got a whole private apartment with its own equipped kitchen (very well equipped btw) The rooms when being basic have all you might need, plus AC and fan always worked in a very efficient way. This hotel is located in a very loud party area in Boca Chica but I am happy to confirm we all slept very (well of you are a light sleeper maybe a pair of earplugs won’t hurt! ) Besides everyone seems to be friendly and helpful, plus you are just a few steps away from delicious italian restaurants and a breathtaking beach. The cost-benefit here is fantastic, Ill return for sure, and my family too! Giuseppe thank you for all, it was a great time in Azzurra

Excellent hot breakfast. Location was in the center, close to the beach. Hotel arranged taxi pick up from the airport at 2:00 a.m.
