The location is excellent. Very central. You can leave your vehicle safely in the parking lot and walk to the site for excursions to Saona Island.

Maya the owner made me feel welcome and a member of the family. She also gave great insider tips that really made my trip great and (including giving me a ride to taste a delicious local rum). Also there's a terrace for people to hang out which was great since I was a solo traveler. Had a great experience!

Loud construction noise next to the hotel early in the morning. No Wi-Fi.

Simple room that has everything you need. 5 - 10 min walk to the beach and town center. Big room, clean. Moskito net on each Window! Big closet to hang your clothes. Lots of space to put your things. Reception woman only speaks Spanish. Quiet neighborhood. Offer free coffee in the morning. Currently they have some maintenance work going on. Started at 9 am with loud hammering.

The room would benefit from some more places to hang towels in a place that they could dry (from the beach and from the shower). Windows/curtains could also be renewed as they were a bit difficult to maneuver.

The staff was very nice and helpful, they gave us tips of what to do. Room and bathroom was super spacious. There was a clear effort to please: the room smelled nice and clean and there were some flowers over the beds. Good parking, great free coffee every morning. The location was also great: couple of minutes walking to the beach and to the center with all the restaurants. There was an extremely nice cat going around the hotel which is a great bonus :D

I planed to stay with my Family for 1 day. Finally we extended for more days. The staf is really helpful. Helped to organize a trip to Saona island. Rooms are clean, with Wifi. Near to the hotel is beach with no waves, ideal for small kids. On the room there is LCD with Netflix. We enjoyed morning coffee. Some staff does not speak English, but has a big afford to help.

The mattress isn't very comfortable, and there was a lot of noise from the street below.

Mayra was very friendly and assisted me with checking in and payment. The location is just five minutes walk from the pier, where all island tours launch, as well as many restaurants.

El Pulpo was exactly what we wanted and expected for the price we paid.

Staff were wonderful. Rooms are basic but have functional fan and a/c, plus small fridge, and are clean. We borrowed the broom to keep our floor clean. If you’re travelling on a budget and not looking for frills el pulpo is an excellent friendly, clean, safe choice in a great location. We loved it there. Plus, coffee in the morning!! If the hot water isn’t working in your shower it’s just because they need to flip a switch downstairs, it won’t happen always, but just ask if it seems like there’s no hot.
