This is my second time staying at the Carleton Group. It is very practical for me since it is close to town and the beaches . I also like having a kitchen. It is nothing luxurious, but for the price it is very clean and comfortable. The owner is caring and attentive as well!

I have no complaints.

The apartment was beautiful - clean and spacious. The hosts were very helpful in spite of the language barrier - they didn't speak english and we don't speak spanish. However, we communicated through our phone with google translation and we managed just fine. I would recommend this place to anybody.

It has an air conditioner in the main room so it's very comfortable. It has hot water so it helps doing stuff in the kitchen and bathing the kids specially if you have a baby. It's near to Rio San Juan city center and at the same time it's near to Playa Caletón. The staff is always looking to improve the experience, I could call anytime and they were willing to help. The property has security door lock, outdoor cameras and inside garage so it makes me feel safe.

Internet was SUPER fast and available in ALL rooms throught the house ! Spacious Rooms upstairs, you will feel like a king ! Air conditioner is great and cold. . .

A TV in the master bedroom would be nice. The kids domineered the TV time. AC in the second bedroom too. AC is only in the master.

Spacious, comfortable bed, secure parking, kitchen had good cooking supplies (big pots, plates, glasses and spoons). Ceiling fans and washing machine were helpful.

I don't believe I would return. Communication with the owner went quite well, but be aware that she is living in Switzerland - there is a lady to meet you for check in and check out, but she only speaks Spanish and she didn't explain much to me.. so I also only found out later that the TV doesn't work at all, you can only use it with your own Netflix account somehow (I couldn't figure it out), and that there is no hot water in the shower (supposedly there is sometimes when the sun shine a lot, because the hot water works only with solar power - bit I did have very hot water in the kitchen but none in the shower). The sink is very tiny, while the rest of the house is very big (I even felt scared at night to be alone in such a big place.. it will be much better for a family). It was close enough to the Laguna & local beach. I walked 20min to Caleton Beach, which was really great.

Looks like that there are pictures showing two (or more) different apartments but only one was offered. I was expecting to get the one that was in the first few pictures but didn't. Quiet hours are stated to be around 11pm-12am but during my stay, it was always noisy, but only in the front part of the place. If you go the back room, you won't be able to hear much. I was looking forward to movie nights with my husband, but the TV didn't work at all. Everything was so ridiculously laggy and the fan in the front room is broken also. Hope they get these things fixed soon. The sheer curtains were a complete no for me. I would have loved a bit for privacy even though I was in the country, still had neighbors, One last thing is that this place made me feel a bit off/eerie/unhomely due to how big spacious it is without the right amount/type of furniture so it was very echoey or maybe it was the design itself, can't quite put my finger on it but yeah.

Having hot water for showering is very important for me and that really made my day stay when I found out how nice and hot it the water was in such a cute country location. I love that they provided extra blankets as I do tend to get cold easily. Now they don't have small bathing towels so may want to bring your own if you are accustomed to cleaning yourself with one. I really enjoyed the location of this place. It was really close to everything that the little town had to offer. You could literally walk everywhere if you wanted. I came at a terrible time in December during rainy season so I couldn't enjoy the bleaches but, they were still beautiful to witness from afar.

see through curtains - sun woke us way to early. Beds and furniture very hard but ok for a short stay. Booking.com mis-information (only 6 of 76 photos of appartment we stayed in. accomodation provider did not accept any card payment) to many dogs in the street barking at all hours of the night and making taking our dog for a walk a bit of a nightmare. tiles in bathroom floor got wet/slippy very quickly due to shower head arrangement need to warn people to bring toilet paper if arriving late (1/2 a roll was cutting it a bit fine for 3 of us.)
