I had a wonderful stay. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive, and I loved how private and quiet the property felt. The pool was a highlight, perfect for relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious with a great selection.

They charge you an extra fee that is not mentioned in Booking, so be careful with this. Only hotel in DR where we experienced this without extra fees being transparent and clear before booking. They apologized for this but didn't give the money back, nor gave anything in exchange. Also, the first night, someone started cutting grass in front of our room, waking us up at 8:30-9am. They should leave these activities for the afternoon when they are sure no one is sleeping. They did apologize for this and didn't happen again during our 3 nights stay.

Beautiful hotel, with amazing pool that feels private as you can get in from your terrace. Delicious breakfast, great friendly staff. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. They have great decoration. Pictures don't show how good the style of the hotel is. Very close to center and beach.

Small so you can hear other people talking but didn’t find it a problem. People are respectful. The glass enclosure of the shower let water out on to the floor.

Very clean. I liked the natural aesthetic like using planters for a barrier in the dining area. And the natural trees for pillars. Nice choices for breakfast.

One day I had to change rooms (I booked it this way), but I was told someone would be there at reception to accept my check-out key and also accept my valuables, on the day there wasn't anyone. This did make me nervous, I had to leave the hotel promptly to make a day trip, so it was a little extra stress to then have to communicate over the whatsapp about my belongings. But it worked out well in the end, they made sure my valuables were locked away from the room into their safe, and when I returned they had moved all my belongings into my new room which was great service. I just thought that could have been better communicated or better arranged the day before.

I loved how intimate the space was, if you're looking for a hotel that's quiet and a little off the beaten track then this is it. With only 7/8 rooms it's very private. I loved the connecting pool, wifi was brilliant, and the breakfast was always good. Friendly attentive staff, with a hotel whatsapp which helped with communicating.

Taxes quoted on booking were different from Taxes collected upon payment at hotel, making price approx 10% higher. Pool had a lot of debris in it.

Fan in the room was a bit squeaky. Water pressure in the shower could have been a bit better too, but overall great experience.

Beautiful little hotel, charming, comfortable and unique. Staff super friendly. Much better than any 5* hotel resort. We would stay longer but unfortunately they had no availability. Close to the beach and many great restaurants.

Amazing hotel and incredible staff. The hospitality of Takuma was really enjoyable, we felt at home. We were two friends travelling together and we really appreciated the room we got which consisted of two double beds (one of them situated in a mezzanine) super modern and clean with big windows that give you your own private access to the pool. The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the beach and town centre. Don’t hesitate in booking this place, you’ll love it, especially the amazing pool and delicious breakfast. We’ll hopefully be back!!

What a wonderful small hotel! Very clean, unique, peaceful with a wonderful layout around a unique pool that seems very private. A fantastic oasis in the busy-ness of Las Terrenas. And such thoughtful staff. Also loved having filtered water available at all times!
