We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThe bed was horribly firm. Both my wife and I had trouble sleeping. The rooms are definitely dated at this point also. Gapping arround windows and doors and no inside security locks for the doors.

NetherlandsBetween the sun, the salty air, and the sea birds waste, there are a lot of reasons why the buildings need constant a lot of maintenance during the year. I think the hotel and its´ grounds lack a bit of this maintenance. The exposed wood from decks and realings should get some paint, shower heads could be descaled, and in bathrooms some extra hangers would be nice as well. Towels were ´frequently used´. Staff is friendly, but not very efficient, there is not someone leading or guiding the staff what I saw. Overall I think it´s a bit too pricey for what you get but worth a visit especially when maintenance is getting improved.
Traditional hotel in the area of La Punta - Montañita directly on the beach. Great pool and location. Comfortable bed and room. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Nice bar area and a short walk over the beach to other restaurants and bars. Very pleasant atmosphere.

NetherlandsBreakfast was a bit limited. Yes fresh eggs, but variety in bread and toppings was limited (no toast e.g.). The rooms can use a bit paint, overall its a very nice place, but needs a little maintenance here and there.
Location was great, not in the busy area but a nice walk from there. Nice pool and private beach area is nice too. Friendly staff, good chef (first day we had the meat from the BBQ).

EcuadorThe entrance from the beach needs to be better because in the afternoon the sea do very difficult to access to the hotel in the door that is near from the dinner room!! there is no shower to clean the sand for the feet, in the doors of the hotel to help clean the visitants!! the room did not have were you can hang the towels!
I like the breakfast, the location is really good by the nature that's nearby, all the birds singing in the morning and seem them flying in the forest next to the hotel and in the beach, very beautiful and unique!! All the and the staff was nice and do a good job!! and then the facilities in the room were good!! The drinks in the bar really good.

EcuadorThe property is in need of maintenance in the rooms and the grounds are depressingly unmaintained. One would expect some lush tropical gardens at a Wyndham in the tropics but this place falls far short. I have seen better landscaping at a mechanic shop.
The room was big and had a view. The staff was friendly and Jason was especially helpful.

United StatesI booked two seperate rooms and BOTH were dirty. The first room had dead ants on the pillows, what appeared to be blood stains on the floor, stained bedding, moldy broken sink and a dirty toilet. The second room had a dead bug on the pillow, stained sheets, rusted refrigerator. I asked for front desk if we can be moved to two different rooms. At first the gentlemen said no there was nothing available in which I began to become persistent on being moved and explained I am from NY and that is when miraculously there were in fact other rooms. He showed me two first floor rooms one had two seperate twin beds and mold all over the wall. The other had one bed which I accepted for the other party in which I booked for. That room however still had issues. The bathroom was dirty and Ac was not working. My partner and I were then showed another corner room on the third floor that we had no choice but to accept. That room had issues as well. The top bedding was also stained, dirty bathroom and most importantly our key did not work. We had to continuesly ask front desk to open the door each time we exited the room which was extremely inconvenient seeing as we left the room often due to our party being seperated amongst other things. Another issue was at breakfast. One of the staff members were giving cups of water and when I asked she gave me a bottle of water in which I was charged. Everything at breakfast was free but the water, make it make sense. I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past when coming to visit and have NEVER experienced anything like this before.
