I loved the kindness and friendliness of the staff. They helped me book an airport transfer who was great also. They offer a free, delicious, generous breakfast that you eat on their rooftop overlooking gorgeous historic Quito and the mountaintops.

It was really noisy. Not from the inside, but from outside. I know that the hostal can not help this, but we had to sleep with earplugs.

The best thing about the Hostal is Fher, our host. She did everything to make us comfortable and helped Is with all our questions, tours etc. Further, our room was oké, clean, but a bit on the small side. Matras was good.

I loved everything about Carpe DM ! ! My room was wonderful. The location is great. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful I’ve met anywhere. Sitting over the wonderful breakfasts Lucia made for was made even better by the great fellow guests. Fernanda, the owner, was always there to help and give advice about anything. AND don’t believe what you hear. I could not have felt more safe. The locals on the street were friendly and helpful too.

It is a super clean place with good wifi and good beds. They offer a lot of incredible tours and Fernanda was so helpful during my stay. If I visit Ecuador again, this is my place to stay in Quito.

great location in center of Quito. great place comfortable magnificent staff very clean and nice. offers airport transfer which is a big plus. great breakfast. wifi works excellent 24 hours per day which is very important. the employees are always available to assist. a special recognition to the staff for a very clean hotel and an excellent breakfast. I think its hard to surpass the level of quality and value.

The shower was a little small but got the job done.

Great location. Fernanda was helpful. The bed was comfortable and the blankets were cozy. The curtains were almost black out so I got some sleep! The kitchen views were fantastic.

We loved everything!

Amazing hostel that feels like a home from home! We got such a warm, welcoming vibe from Fernanda, the owner, and the other staff members. Everyone was so helpful, and I loved the fact that we could store our luggage here while we went to the Amazon for 5 days. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was super tasty. The location was great as well, very close to all the sights of the Old Town. I’ll stay here again when I return to Quito!

Cannot complain about a thing

Starting several weeks before our stay, Fher and Kathy were answering questions and providing travel advice. With the state of emergency called 10 days before our stay we were a bit concerned but the staff were a great reassuance and resource about what was happening in Quito and Ecuador. I had booked excursions prior to booking my stay at Casa carpeDM. Had I spoke to the staff sooner, I would have booked more of my excursions (such as the Amazon) through their agency. The hostel itself is clean and well situated. The area is quiet, and you will get a good sleep, which is why i initially picked it. There's good wifi and hot water. We enjoyed the breakfast there. I would definitely advise you book the airport transfer with them as it's half the price others were paying for airport cabs. Fher was an excellent host and great resource. She definitely makes the stay enjoyable and was a huge help before and during our stay. We had an excellent holiday in Ecuador and are so thankful we didn't cancel. It Is a fantastic Place! I loved as It was confortable, extremely clean, quiet and well organized. Perfect location at the historical center. High standards. Big and bride room. Very good price for the quality offered. Furthermore the place offers many cultural/social/humanitaria information about the country. The people managing the place is involved with social thematics and humanitarian activities. I had a wonderfull stay and I will go to that hostal again..

We didn't mind, but the rooms are only accessible by stairs, so that could potentially be an issue for some customers.

Everything was great! Clea, good wifi, friendly hosts, laundry service, airport pickup, etc. Bonus points for the view from the third floor where you can refill your water, and for the excellent breakfast!

It was perfect! There are stairs for the upper bedrooms. Is not a problem, but be mindful when you book your room if you have mobility issues.

The staff was just lovely! Made me feel very safe and cared for. Just book it!
