Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe room was just a fraction on the small side for 2 people (though it didn’t really matter as we spent all day out and about)
The location was perfect! A stones throw away from the beach. There are also plenty of restaurant options near by. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Beach towels are available to use (so no need to use your own). The bed was very big and comfortable

SingaporeWent in October 2024. Could pay for both the hotel stay and tours with credit card, without any additional fee. Lovely place with very friendly staff who helped me upon arrival and recommended me tours to go on. Although it was one of the furthest hotels from the port, a short 5 minute taxi ride that costs $1 gets you there.

United KingdomUnfortunately there was no running water for both nights of my stay - I couldn't flush the toilet, wash my hands, or have a shower after the beach, etc. There may be problems with running water more generally on the island (although I didn't have a problem with water at Sierra Negra hotel). But, as one of thousands of tourists who pay a total of $230 in tourist taxes ($20 TCT + $200 on arrival + $10 in Isabela) to enter the Galapagos Islands (not including all the money invested through paying for accommodation, meals, activities, etc.) it's very frustrating. Some of these taxes need to be used to improve the infrastructure. When the water finally came on, the shower was only a drip - worst shower I'd had in a long time.
I moved to this hotel from Sierra Negra hotel and it was MUCH better - a much more homely feel, in a much better condition, with nice decoration, more areas to relax in, and a great breakfast included. Great location - and opposite a great cafe (Pan Y Vino). There are friendly staff and the hotel also has a travel agency.

The place is super cute just one street away from the beach. Everyone is super nice and helpful. The breakfast was enjoyable and water and coffee available throughout the day. When I am coming back I will definately stay there again! 😀

GermanySince the title of the accommodation features “high speed internet”, the connection was shaky in the room, however quite functional in the common area. Nothing to complain about, however, one should know when relying on a strong internet connectivity in his or her room.
Easy to reach and walkable from the pier! Room was clean, although being a bit worn off (which wasn’t a negative thing). Included breakfast was okay in buffet style. Friendly instructions from staff on tours on Isabela, as the hotel also includes a tour office (however, definitely worth comparing prices, as they were more expensive compares to other agencies in town) Right in opposite of the accommodation you can find a small cafe with delicious coffee! Super close to the beach as well.

PortugalBreakfast was buffet, simple but very good. One day they stopped replenishing breakfast before the end of time. we provided that feedback and they corrected for the following day, so we were pleased and they really appreciated the feedback.
The location was great, really close to everything. Very nice room and very nice hotel. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, always looking to provide us what we needed. Would come back when coming again to isabela

United StatesI was on the first floor with my only window facing the street. I was concerned about the possibility of a lot of noise during the night and early mornings but I didn't experience any real issues with noise levels.
My room was very small but perfect for 1 person. The room was very clean. walk across the street you are at a beautiful beach. Street is lined with restaurants and tour agencies. Coral Blanco has a beautiful sitting area. Plenty of filtered water. It isn't a fancy hotel but it's a great place for a few nights. I don't recall the tour guides name who was selling tours at Coral Blanco but he had worked at a as a tour guide in Quito. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Good staff

GermanyNo fridge in the room. No fan, only a/c. The common dishes were never really quite clean, e.g. the glasses were always a bit greasy. Free tea and water, but the selection was only moderate. Breakfast was average. The room was rather small, and the bathroom had no ventilation. The shower taps didn't feel perfectly clean and have seen their best of times. Altogether, too expensive for the quality offered. For the same price you get perfectly modern places on the other islands.
Friendly staff. Helped with booking day trips. Free water and tea.

SwitzerlandDon't book here your tours! SCAM! They charged me more than 75 dollars for the 3 tours I booked with them! I stayed at the hotel with the same name Coral Blanco and made the mistake to book the tours here. I asked the people that joined the same tour and realised that they charged me way to high prices! The tintoreras tour was 60$ instead of the usual 45$ Túneles tour they charged me 130 instead of 110 And minas de azufre tour they charged me 85$ instead of 50!!!! I went to get an explanation and they argue that the price included the pick up from the hotel.. however everyone else got also picked up from the hotel.. I asked for a refund and they told me they cannot do that... Never again!!!
The hotel was ok

United StatesFor the price I expected a bigger room, not much to move around, my bed was only a single bed. The water preasure is low.
The staff was very friendly, my room was made everyday and the location was good. I liked the eating setting on the patio It is pretty quite at night.

CanadaWay too expensive for what it is. Room too small. Bed too small and unconfortable for a couple. Wi-Fi never really worked. We left before the end of our stay without asking for a refund and when we left we simply asked to get a taxi and they would charge 5$ wich is way overpriced for the island, so it didn't seem very honest.
