Our small feedback is that there is a charge for using the spa which we weren’t aware of - still enjoyable after a day out.

We loved our stay here. The rooms were very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and were able to help organise all the activities we wanted. It is a great location to head to Cotopaxi and we loved the mountain biking in the ground. Meals were excellent on site.

The fire required careful tending, otherwise our room got uncomfortably warm. Some of the wood wasn't seasoned firewood, but pieces of old fencing with nails and paint, and some pieces were growing mold/mildew. The front desk told us it was fine because the oven vented outside, but it made me uncomfortable having to open and close the oven to add wood when needed. Because this is a farm, there is animal poop everywhere, even on the kids playground. Walking around the immediate property (including the trails used by horses) was precarious.

Amazing food and views. Beautiful property and a memorable experience. The staff was very responsive via WhatsApp both before and during our stay, which was helpful for transportation.

Minor details: - before arrival, communication on Booking.com goes through their central office in Quito, which is not always available and very responsive. Everything was anyway fixed by the lovely staff on site once arrived - while the price/quality ratio for rooms, services and food is great, some of the tours offered are a bit overpriced compared to similar or same tours from other haciendas and operators

Nothing, everything was exceptional.

Everything! Everything was so nice and it is a very quaint hacienda. The staff was great, especially Rafael who was so helpful in answering all my questions and was always happy to help. The food was delicious. Our room was super clean and comfortable. I have nothing bad to say about my stay. The bed and linens were luxurious.. the added touches of the turn down service of putting heated water bottles in our bed to warm it up before bedtime, the chocolate tasting left by our bedside.. and I still can't believe the modern toilet seat with the seat warmer and bidet! A heated toilet seat makes such a difference when it is so cold like it is so high up in the mountains where this place is. The horseback riding and our guide Miguel was amazing, and the horses were very healthy and well trained. We also booked a massage and hung out in the steam room and hot tub- which was perfect after our horseback riding adventure.

Make sure your transport to the property is aware that the road to it can get very muddy - our taxi driver didn’t know what he’d let himself in for!

We had the most amazing stay at Hacienda El Porvenir. It was just fantastic. The property is stunning. A beautiful farm house that instantly makes you feel like home. It is peaceful, calming and relaxing and we loved just sitting by the fire in the lounge room. Our bedroom was lovely - the fire kept us warm and it had all the comforts we could want. We loved the hot water bottles as night - such a lovely touch. The food was fantastic. Breakfast was amazing and the lunch and dinner choices were excellent. So we really loved El Porvenir - but what made it even more special were the people. The front desk team were exceptional - Joanna, Matias and Raphael went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic stay. They were incredibly helpful and personable and they made our stay extra special. As did everyone else in the team - from the beautiful ladies who kept our fires going to the gentle,smiling ladies in the restaurant. The team at Porvenir are truly exceptional.

Clean and charming Hacienda , rooms are large with fireplace running through the night as the rooms tend to be cold . 5 stars services and delicious food . Breakfast included is very basic ( one type of fruit with yogurt, bread, butter, jam, juice and eggs cooked as you wish) .

Staff was exceptional. They were always inquiring if we needed anything and if we were enjoying our stay. They responded to all of our needs very quickly. The welcome reception with drinks and empanadas was a wonderful bonus.

Some of the staff didn’t speak English which I found very weird due to the fact that all of the guests were European or American. Must improve this factor.

Perfect location. Not so difficult to join through Malachi with 4×2 and very near to north entry to parque cotapaxi. Lots of charm with fireplace in living room .Nice room and efficient small bathroom (standard private room) . Restaurant with choice ,inventive , good and nicely presented. You can go around by foot and see the horses in freedom . Nice horse ride at good price even for beginners with splendid view on cotapaxi snows and condors.

Hacienda El Porvenir is absolutelly amazing accomodation to stay next to Cotopaxi national park. We loved the premises as it is hidden in the countryside and thanks to its unique and well protected architecture you trully feel like in a different world. World of peace, quietness where you can enjoy the nature and magnificent Cotopaxi volcano. The room was super comfortable, the food was delicious and also their spa is incredible. All the staff is so kind and willing to help you. We also booked a hiking trip and a horseriding trip with them and it was epic.

Incredible property, amazing staff (Felipe & Paula were especially wonderful and helpful), great food and plenty to keep busy. The entire property is beautifully designed and maintained and has a calming and peaceful vibe.
