Reviews of Hostal Olmito Canoa

The place is GREAT, but the people were EXCEPTIONAL. Paola, Manuel and Francisco were the best hosts: Friendly, attentive, generous but un-intrusive. They made all of our stay fantastic and really can’t be praised enough. The Hostal itself is charming, perfectly located 10 seconds from the beach (just cross the road) and, with its walled courtyard, kind of an oasis. The communal kitchen is open-air and a great place to hang out in the hammocks. We had two rooms that were both great but with different vibes: the room with en-suite bathroom had great natural light and was really beautiful. The other room had a second bed in a loft space up a ladder. Our 7 year old was beyond thrilled and didn’t want to leave. The entire place is clean and well-maintained.

THe ONLY negative was have is bar/restaurant that is open from Wednesday to Saturday. Our first nights were quiet and restful and when the bar opened the noise kept us up later than we intended. Nothing dangerous, just noisier.

You could use a whole kitchen with a fridge and freezer. It is a perfect place to just relax.

The best accommodation in Canoa!

Nice and clean hotel. I enjoyed my stay. Good view of the beach and love the hammocks on the balcony. Very quiet relaxing atmosphere while I was there.

The windows didn’t have a lock.

Almost on the beach, was able to watch the sunset. Got upgraded to a better room. Staff was kind enough to go and get me a bottle of wine. Recommended where to get good dinner

Nice place in at the best spot on the beach of Canoa, close to everything. The common areas and rooms are stylish with views to the ocean and garden. Staff is kind and helpful, and there is a common kitchen and fridge for your foods.

It's a wood house, which is authentic, but lack of any sound isolating. All noises from street and neighbours are in your ears. For my first night, a kind but loud family stayed with two children in the next door, so I had a beautiful wake up at 5:50AM. The staff did the best to change the room. And one more thing: tha place could be much better with some more maintenance. Common kitchen is dirty, fridge is also,, there is a "bar" but no choice, restaurant offer just pizza on demand etc. It's a place with amazing conditions, there is a chance do do it better. The first step can be a basic english knowledge for the staff, because many of guests dont speak spanish. They have a time for it as I saw, there are free and useful learning applications.... 20 sentences, and 100 words can make the guests happy, believe me!

Enjoyed the tranquility of Olmito and Canoa. Staff was always very helpful. I wanted something simple no rush to relax and it was delivered. Thank you Olmito and Canoa👍.

Amazing location just a stones throw away from the ocean. Tons of hammocks to relax in.

Rooms are a little small.

Spacious and cosy room paired with friendly service results in an excellent all round stay. Very tidy always. quiet at night, good pizza too.

Plenty of privacy in our room as well as lounging areas. Community access to an outdoor kitchen as well as refrigerator. The fan in our room was a very nice addition. The weather was very hot and humid and this fan made the night very comfortable.

Dogs barking through the night as well as the morning noise from the streets. All should be expected in this location of town.

It really shows they did their best to create an relaxing environment. Many hammocks to relax in and the room was basic but good! One of the hosts helped us out with the bus tickets we needed, really recommend!

Very comfortable room with a shared balcony overlooking the garden and a view of the beach. Staff are super friendly and welcoming! Always a relaxing vibe in this hotel :)

has a lot of hammocks where you can chill in, there is an outdoor shower and you have a kitchen outside where you can cook. the staff was really nice and helped us with a lot of thinks like the busses.

there were mosquito nets over the bed but they were way too short so all the mosquitos came inside and stung us in the night

beautiful building with big rooms and lovely pets! the outdoor kitchen was so nice and the location was perfect - I could see the sea from our balcony which was lovely.

the beds were a little hard and there was a bit of construction going on during our stay which was noisy during the day
