Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Limited common area for relaxation. This is small thing.
Great location, very close to port, beaches and main square for food. Air con was very good Very good price for private room. More like little apartments than hostel.

Staff was OK, but for 10 should be more helpful and informative

Beds weren’t very comfortable.
Great staff very helpful and knowledgeable about excursions. Breakfast was a good value and nice and fresh.

Beautiful grounds . Friends easy going staff. Kitchen was useful as we stored fresh fruit in the fridge provided. The hot shower was the best so far in all South America! Quiet location near mini mart

Nothing - rooms don’t have balconies but they don’t claim they have and there is a nice shaded seating area which you can see in the photos.
Good location near the main square but away from noise. Restaurant and shop nearby. There is a decent, clean kitchen.

The bathroom was a bit basic, no window just a mosquito net so when the Aircon is on you have to shut the door otherwise the cold escapes through that.
Location in the centre, walkable distance to everything you need. Spacious room with AC

Next door they have a dance studio operating from 3 to min 9pm, teacher talks loudly and music even louder. Accom owners have nil say in this difficult to get enough sleep when in hot sun all day

Great stay highly recommend. Close to restaurants, bars and everything you need. Laundry place right across the road very handy. Bed was comfy, place was clean and shower was hot. Really appreciated having shower gel and shampoo provided. Some space outside the room to dry swim wear. One of our favourite accommodations in Galapagos. Simple and basic but done very well.

Found the cleaner tried to clean our room quite early one morning. Basic facilities in communal areas but you get what you pay for
Comfortable rooms and beds with lots of space. Excellent shower. Clean and tidy. Good location - close to the port and the beach. Easy to book tours at reception

In my top 3 best showers OF MY LIFE!! Great location close to the ferry pier, restaurants, and beach. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Did I mention the showers?

The extra $2 for bigger breakfast is not worth it, they give you tiny cheap yogurt and about a soup spoon of granola for that money...we found bigger and cheaper breakfast next door

Nothing to complain about.
Provides drinking water. High pressure, hot showers. Good air-conditioning and daily towel change and room making. Hammocks in a nice, cooling garden. Highly recommended. Great single rates too.

Really nice hostel, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Check-in and out is early so works well for all the early ferries and getting access to your room as you arrive. They stored our bags on check out until our afternoon ferry. They had a kitchen and washing lines for drying. Would stay again.

All was fine, wifi is not the best but that’s everywhere on the islands. Communication is only possible in Spanish, in English it will be more difficult
The people were friendly, the wifi worked ok, location is pretty good because it’s just 10 min walk to the port and a few meters to restaurants … we booked the volcano tour at the hostel because it was 10 dollars cheaper. The los tunnels Tour was a bit more pricy than in other agency’s. Makes sense to compare the deals.

Perfect location, close to the beach and quiet too. Family owners were so helpful, happy to assist with information, and looked after the rooms/gardens well. Breakfast was a fantastic price and good quality. Rooms were super clean. The shower was amazing! ! Would definitely recommend!
