There was an extra tax of 10% for the concept of others, and additionally I was requested to pay 5% additional for the use of data fast, it means for using credit card. I refused to pay of course.

Our first night there, there was lots of noise from either the neighbouring cabin or the hosts house (talking and laughing until 5.30am in the morning). If you are squeamish about creepy crawlies, it might not be for you. There was quite a lot of wildlife in our cabin, including a massive spider that we removed.

There was nothing about our stay that we didn’t like about Los Cedros, but other travelers should be aware that although outside city limits, it’s still in a neighborhood with a lot of noise-there was an event nearby on a Saturday night that went very late, and the neighborhood and property wakes early to get going. If proximity to downtown is less important and quietude is more important to you I might advise staying further out towards Mariposas de Mindo and Tarabita. The plumbing in our unit had a leaking faucet, and an erratic water heater in the shower, but the bathroom and room was clean.

Cesar the owner was absolutely exceptional! He went so so far out of his way to make us welcome, orient to the surroundings of Mindo and Ecuador in general. Friendly and attentive, he and his family made our stay at Los Cedos fabulous! We got to try out the new hot tub overlooking lush hills and valleys, which is thoughtfully planned out when you arrive so you have the space to your party alone. The setting is outside the downtown, about 1/2 mile outside and uphill from the town center and you get a chance to hear the jungle go to sleep and wake up. We also got to play with new baby puppy Frost, who is the cutest creature you’ll ever meet!

I loved the location of this property. it was very serene and peaceful. I often struggle to find a comfortable bed, but we all slept wonderfully. The beds and the bedding were very comfortable. The hummingbirds at breakfast were delightful.

To be aware if arriving in the evening, during our visit the only food/bar service seemed to be breakfast (we enquired before arriving about food service in the evening, they said yes, but there wasn’t anything). Also, suggest to have a booklet/information about Mindo, activities available to guests.

Totally in nature individual cabin stay in Mindo. Greeted by hummingbirds each morning at breakfast, delightful. Approximately 20 minutes walk to Mindo’s restaurants etc. Hot water to make tea available all day.

The cabanas could have been a bit more spacious and provided with a cupboard and hooks for organizing your stuff. Then again, upon request, I got a fridge installed for no extra money. Also it is a shame for guest and owner (missing out the income) that there were no drinks or food for sale.

The owner, Cesar, and manager Maria were extremely friendly and hospitable. There are a few cabins on a large property. No music or disturbances, so great for feeling totally in nature. In and around the dining area there were allways lots of kolibris/hummingbirds, many kinds - not afraid of humans, buzzing around your head at some 40 centimeters. Good breakfast, in accordance to guests' likings. I should also mention the friendly and flexible pick-up service from Quito Airport for just $40

I would always prefere some Muesli for breakfast, but beside of that breakfast was really ok.

Very nice people, Cesar helps to understand all options in Mindo. He is very flexible with timings when arriving earlier or later. Great garden in the middle od nature and nice breakfast place. Lots of flowers and hummungbirds. Calm and just 10 min from Mindo Center.

Very nice and friendly staff - although they can’t speak English, they do their best to help. Comfortable cabin is in the middle of garden full of hummigbirds. Silent place, 10 minutes walk from city center. Tea and coffee is available all day. We arrived late in the evening and lady (manager) prepared dinner for us even though they don't normally offer it.

Gaps in the walls. Place feels run down. Pathways overgrown with vegetation. Very average breakfast. Hard to find, Maps Me had it in a different location. Long way from town.
