There are many reasons to choose this hostel. I liked my room (private double room), the bathrooms, the terrace, the fantastic breakfast, the quiet (it was off-season), and especially the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Special thanks to Elba, who was so supportive upon my arrival. I also liked the location on the outskirts of town. This meant there was no traffic noise, and the various hiking trails were within easy reach. It was an ideal location, even though the bus station and town were only a 10-minute walk away.

The only thing I was missing was a wardrobe or something to hang my clothes.

I saw some people complain about the location in reviews. It's on the edge of the town, a bit uphill from the city centre but it's just 10 minutes walk, the view is amazing and at the same time it's calm and quite (we hear only birds singing in the morning). The women managing the hostel does a great work. Not only rooms are clean but also shared bathrooms and kitchen. Breakfast was always on time and it was tasty. Additionally she's helpful and her choice of music matches perfectly an atmosphere of the place.

My wife and I had a great stay, the place was spotless with a great garden to hang out in the hammock. Breakfast was fantastic every morning !

A very minor nitpick is that the key fobs were absolutely enormous, which meant they were a little difficult to store.

The beds were very comfortable, our host Joanne was a delight and everything was very cosy and worked as advertised. On top of that, the breakfast was excellent.

Charming house, Joanna is very friendly and helpful, relaxing garden with hammocks and exotic birds visiting the flowers. Very good beds and just a short walk to the town centre. And a great massage service!

Everything was PERFECT! The location is ideal, as Baños is a party city and gets real loud. We were able to sleep soundly while being only a 10 minute walk from literally everything. The showers are super hot, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is great. The real star of the show though, is Joanna. She was incredibly attentive, wanted us to have the best possible time while visiting, and was so so kind. She helped us check in early since we had an overnight bus, and was always available if we needed anything. She is the reason I will be recommending this place to anyone and everyone.

Noisy animals and trucks and who knows. I wish more info was available on tours. We would pick one then show up without any info and often do something different than expected.

Big windows. Helpful staff. Helped book tours. 10 mins from the town. Music and vibes in the outdoor area.

Wonderful place with amazing staff (thanks especially to Joanna and Frank). Great facilities and a full kitchen which was a lovely treat so we could cook a few nights. Lovely common areas and a different breakfast every day we stayed. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Wonderful peaceful property. The owners are really nice and make a good breakfast. Have lots of information on local activities and set me up with a great mountain guide for Tungurahua and Chimbo. The walk to the property is very easy, a little uphill.

The double bed was Ecuadorian sized, so not very big for two Europeans :-)

Helpful staff, good breakfast every morning. Shared bathrooms are big and clean. Nice little space outside where you can chill and have a drink. The walk to/from town is very doable and was not a problem for us.

It was very pleasant and we had nothing to complain about.

It was a very nice stay in the Molino Blanco, the staff was always super friendly and organised activities for you, the breakfast was huge and very tasty. It is a bit up the hill in Baños, so you need to go up again when you go into town. It was very clean and we would definitely visit again.

Loved our stay here, we arrived on the night bus so the 24 hour check in was great you ring a bell to wake them up. It was super quiet at night with no bars noisy nearby was super tranquil. We had a beautiful Mountain View and enjoyed our 5 nights here. breakfast was yummy too and ensured I had gluten free options. Owner is great, very helpful with booking tours and she has a great personality :)

we could hear most of the noise outside through the windows. the blinds didn’t keep much light out, which we adapted to fine and woke up with the sun.

removed from the loud or busy part of town. close to two trail entrances. common space to sit outside or inside. comfortable and bright rooms.
