Beautiful, peaceful setting with well tended gardens of flowers, fruits and vegetables. The dining room and café offer expansive views, but not every room has a view. The service in all areas was very good. We had the half board option that included breakfast and dinner; this was very convenient as the lodge is a 15 minute taxi ride into town. Food service was very good. We loved the hot tubs.

Service was lacking in all areas and not what is expected at this price or for a 5 star hotel. The check in staff were cold and not helpful when asking about the spa treatments available (the menu was only in Spanish) this stopped us booking one. The service at dinner and breakfast was slow as the restaurant was busy and not enough staff. We liked our stay but this aspect definitely needs improvement for the price of a nights stay!

The bedroom was comfortable warm and spacious. We enjoyed the use of the pools and the views are great at dusk and night time. The half board dinner food was okay.

The furnishings and furniture in the suite were dated. Purple pleather couches in the living room and the kitchen hasn't been update in 20+ years. You're definitely paying a high price for the views as this type of room would normally be half the price we paid.

The location was good. The views are unmatched, some of the best views of any hotel I've stayed in. The restaurant on site was excellent. The rooms were clean and very large. The bathrooms were also clean and large. Staff at the hotel were all great.

Amazing hotel. The view, nature, volcano… i have no words to describe. We ordered room with big panoramic window. You can lay in the room in front of the window and dream! Staff are so acomodating and friendly! Facilities are comfortable. Bed, pillows were so fantastic. Breakfast has no wide choice but it the same in all Equador. But food very delicious. Espessialy for dinner!

For the price you pay, every option of breakfast should be included. Moreover, the service should have a 100% satisfaction focus which doesn’t come across from the front desk personnel.

-We went to the spa 3 days and either day we were not given any form of paperwork to fill out regarding our history of allergies, conditions, or surgeries. In my personal opinion, that's a VERY IMPORTANT step a spa facility should NOT skip. - Very limited breakfast options.

-Our room had a balcony with a full view to Baños and it was breathtaking. However, majority of our stay the view was covered by fog (keep that in mind). Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable; they came to clean it every day. They give you gowns, slippers, and some toiletries. -The Spa services were great and very relaxing, I got a hot stone massage, oatmeal facial, oily scalp treatment, full body exfoliation, and a relaxing massage (spread out in 3 days). My husband did the chocolate treatment/massage, and 2x relaxing massage. You can tell we took advantage of their great prices :) - The weather was not in our favor but thankfully they have heated pools. The majority of our stay the temp was between 50-60's but we were able to enjoy the pool and take great pictures. ** Weeks prior to our arrival staff helped me schedule transportation and excursions. If you schedule an excursion, ASK FOR ROBERT, he was our tour guide and he was AMAZING!!! We made so many stops at so many different cool places in addition to our main excursions. We learned so much from him, he's passionate about Ecuador's history.

The food was ok - it was nice that certain parts, like dinner, were included; but there were a lot of "stipulations" around what was extra and what was included. I had better massages in the town - for a tenth of the price. Most importantly, you are very far from the rest of the town. The cost of getting those beautiful views - but it is quite a ride down and back up. I enjoyed our stay in town much more. You don't need more than one night here.
