The gardens of the property were really beautiful, really enjoyed sitting by the river at breakfast. Breakfast was nice too. It’s a little out of town but short taxi ride away or you can walk in 30-40 mins if you’re quick.

The location of the hotel as it appears in booking.com is far 40 minutes ride from the actual location. I hope they fixed it.

•The pool is not in the hotel! The description of the hotel says there is an outdoor swimming pool, which turns out to be 2km down the road in some other hotel. We were told we could use the pool until 7pm, but when we arrived at the hotel with the pool, we were told that 'people from up the road' are only aloud to use the pool until 4pm. •There is a QR code available to see the restaurant's menu. But turns out it is not up to date, so when you want to pay, the final price is higher than expected. •The restaurant hours are written in a little sign that is given to you when you sit at the restaurant (with a service button attached to it), but turns out that THAT is also not up to date, so when you want to order something for dinner, the kitchen is already closed. •Our bed was EXTREMELY noisy, the boards under the mattress sounded like a pig was being slaughtered every time we turned... The location and the surroundings. The forest and the river around the hotel are very beautiful. Staff is very nice and helpful. Service during the breakfast was very pleasant.

There is very little I would change. It was perfect for our needs.

Mindo gardens is a few km out of the main town of Mindo. It has its own land with some trails/walks to nearby waterfalls. The gardens are beautiful and teaming with birds, frogs and other wildlife. So if you want a perfect/quiet get away staying somewhere beautiful while able to see wildlife then this is perfect. If you want to be central to Mindo and in a more busy environment then this may not be for you as the walk/taxi into town will get tiresome.

Shower on the lower floor is partially visible by passers by. Need to wake early to go to Lek for a chance to see the Cock on the rock and Toucans.

Excellent for bird watchers cabin close to the river with the soothing sounds of the hummingbirds and running stream. Hikes nearby to two waterfalls and the small lagoon, great for night safari for frogs and insects. Chef is very good loved the grilled prawns. The hotel was kind to give me a lift to Mindo as I did not have a car.

Bed and pillows were a lumpy. Gets cold at night. Toilet seat was broken.

The staff is the best, Freddie is very helpful with booking tours and getting transportation. Elvis is the Chef and his cooking, outstanding. We loved every meal. Erika is over the office and has attention to details

Some of the windows were just mosquito netting - which kept out the mosquitos but did allow small flies in. These were harmless/non-biting but annoying

This is a lovely place to stay a few kms outside of Mindo, beside the river surrounded by forest. We were in Mindo bird watching so enjoyed the feeders. The staff were great - very helpful and attentive to our needs and very friendly. The food was tasty and fresh and the kitchen kindly provided us with breakfast to take away when we were leaving early.

This is the perfect place if you want to disconnect, it’s far from the main town in the middle of a forest and the river is next to. There are waterfalls and a lagoon you can go included. It’s a super nice property. Two things to improve: the breakfast is very basic and the pool is located 1.8 km away.

The hot water in the shower didn’t work well. It was really hot and after 5 minutes it was cold again. I could shower my daughter there. We didn’t like that the pool was not in the same place as the hostel and the shower didn’t work and there was no staff to ask for help. We were left alone.

The place is beautiful! You can have breakfast watching the hummingbirds flying near you. The room was really clean and comfortable. Loved that we had water in the room.

No hot water. The hot tub had too many chemicals. The floors were slippery. The food was limited and the front desk staff was not accommodating
