Really nice place run by incredibly friendly people. The garden and surroundings are very beautiful, ideal to spot some birds. The walk to the bars and restaurants in the centre takes less than 10min.

Road to downtown Mindo can be muddy.

This place is amazing. The gardens are beautiful, the rooms are super clean, breakfast is excellent and the staff is very attentive.

The grounds are beautiful! The room was big and the shower had hot water. Bed was comfy. Very quiet. We were on the second floor, with a shared terrace for the send story, overlooking the pool and towards the mountains. Fantastic view, and we could hear the river. The breakfast was included with our room option and was also fantastic! Hotel was five minute walk from downtown. Great location. Staff was also kind, spoke English for us.

I stayed in Mindo for two nights and Mindo Real was perfect! It’s a short walk to town but feels a million miles away. The gardens surrounding the property are gorgeous and you can hear the Mindo river which is a 5 minute walk. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the breakfast was hearty. It’s a great place to stay if you don’t have a car. The bus station is a 15 minute walk from the property.

We spend two nights in one of the cottages surrounded by the exceptionally beautiful nature. They also have an amazing garden, colibries and other exotic birds are visiting while you have your breakfast there. The breakfast is really nice, tasty local food.

The quiet location amongst lush gardens and forest , near the rushing Mindo River. It’s only a short walk into town. The staff are most kind, hospitable and accommodating. If I ever return to Mindo this is where I would like to stay.

I would give 20 stars if I could! This place is an absolute gem in Mindo! Quiet and peaceful, yet in walking distance to town. Breakfast is delicious. Fantastic location. Super clean facilities. And the staff is probably the nicest staff I have ever met. Very helpful, attentive, and patient. We absolutely loved this place!

The location on Google maps shows the location as being on the wrong side of the road. We arrived after dark on foot, and we ended up walking right past the entrance the first time. No other complaints!

We loved everything about our stay! There might be more luxurious accommodations in Mindo, but I wouldn’t dream of staying somewhere else if we return in the future. Everything was so clean, quiet, and beautiful. It felt like we had the place to ourselves! One huge plus is that you really don’t need a birding tour if you stay here, we saw so many beautiful tropical birds and even had a few coatis scurry in front of our cabin. Staff was always helpful and going above and beyond, and the breakfast truly is exceptional.

I liked it all.

The location was very quiet, perfect for listening to and watching for birds. The gardens were exceptional, with so many varieties such beautiful landscaping. Natural but organized. Walkable distance from the town. Very quiet. The pool was great for the kids. Easily accommodated our large family group. Lovely group gathering space in a main floor lounge. Our host was exceptional. She was helpful with her knowledge of all the popular spots, with accommodating our family’s needs ( including changes of our plans), booking taxis, etc. The breakfasts were generous and delicious, and beautifully presented.

There is no AC in the room which is really hard when humid to sleep

The customer service was awesome especially Maria! She understood and spoke great English and was very accommodating

Nothing! Just that we couldn’t stay forward

Super peaceful, but a short walk to town. We saw toucans from our room every morning! Water was hot, shampoo and soap in our rooms and very attentive and helpful staff.
