- at times we felt the floor and stairs were slightly moving - the upper floor gets stuffy and warm - some bugs get inside in spite of the mosquito nets in the windows - the tap in the bathroom was ridiculously small

We happened to come on a cold and rainy weekend and it was a bit chilly in our bungalows

The restaurant food was pretty average, and the only way to reach the town of Mindo was walking 30-40 min or taking a cab. The latter was only $2-3 each way though, and the views and amenities more than made up for this minor inconvenience

The lodge ans the view of the cloud forest was amazing! It was secluded and quiet, but with the amenities of a high end resort (hotel tub, full cabin, pool)

The only downside was using the hot tub at night with all the bugs. A screen or glass enclosure around the balcony would’ve let us fully enjoy it. We loved the idea though!

Wifi is a bit difficult. My phone wasn’t able to connect in the lodge. In the restaurant the WiFi is fine

The lodges are really nice. You can see the hummingbirds eat while having your breakfast or lunch.

It was close enough to town to walk but far enough for peace and quiet. We would adventure in the morning then come relax in the room because it was so beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful!! It was hard to leave. My husband and I brought our 4 kids and stayed in the Family bungalow. We loved the walk over the bridge and through the jungle to get to our room. The pool was perfect and the food was top notch! Yum! The birds were the perfect natural white noise and it is the perfect combination of adventurous and upscale lodging. Our only complaint is that we should have stayed longer :)

Be prepared for everything staying and feeling damp.

The location is wonderful. Although not near town the walk down the hill is not far or difficult and a taxi back up (if you don't want to walk uphill), was 2$. The food was fantástic, the hummingbirds insane. The games room was a nice addition. I think we had the best mojitos here, ever! We had a family bungalow and although it was nice, it was quite rustic and basic. Only one of 4 rooms had a door. It had 2 lots of stairs and 2 bathrooms. Some of the bungalows over the suspension bridge looked more modern but we were closer to the main building for food/drinks and hummingbirds.

Excellent value and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. They assisted us with transportation arrangements back to Quito and extended late checkout to 11:00 PM for a small fee. This was a favorite place for my two teenagers on our trip. We also loved Tobi, the resident lodge dog. We easily walked into town from the lodge. We enjoyed the pool. The shower was a nice temperature too.

The lodge views are incredible looking over the cloud forest. The room is super modern and clean with a huge bed and hot tub on the balcony. The breakfast is delicious. The venue also has an on-site restaurant with 2 menus to pick from. Your stay also includes a zip line which was a lovely surprise to us. I wish we stayed longer, one of the loveliest and most scenic rooms I have ever stayed in.

The only thing we would have liked is a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in the room, would have been nice to sit on the balcony with a coffee in the mornings.

A beautiful lodge set in stunning surroundings, fantastic if you love birds. Perfect place to relax and food was great.
