Loved the rural area, the walk to town, the sense of community. The suite had everything i needed for a long stay. Clean and comfortable.

I had booked the second floor because I liked the chimney but ended up on the first floor without a chimney. I requested breakfast, and it was served to us, but not as we had the last time that we were there. It seemed that it was prepared in a rush. The place is difficult to find; it doesn't have signs or directions. We waited for about 35 minutes for the host to come and meet us.

- wonderful people - recommendations for Inti Raymi and with a small additional fee ($20 in total for all 3 of us) we got to participate and stay for a night at Casa Hotel Loma Wasi as well, which allowed for a much more immersive experience of the community’s festivities - tastefully decorated space - complementary laundry

- we were asked to pay half the amount of the reservation via PayPal on the day of the reservation, which also included an additional 7% - no sufficient heating in the room and the hot water in the shower was inconsistent. The owner tried to fix it a couple of times, which was very much appreciated, but the freezing experience was hard to get over - a $2 taxi is needed for most outings - breakfast was available for an additional fee

Breakfast service was poor. Location is out of the main town, so I had to take a taxi because one being far and 2 to walk in or out was like a Little maze.

I only talk to the owner once , to pay him his rent, and I did not see him again. Staff was almost non-existent.. The staff sometimes help me to call a taxi other times not , I had to find a local person to call for me. taxi drivers in the main town, had a hard time finding house

Rual seeting, town 20 minute walk,excellent host,new modern upscale apartment,very safe as is the Cotacahi town, nearby places to explore, much prefer this to bring in town

The occasional electricity cuts which affect all of Cotacachi with the exception of the downtown business area... In October 2024 we had five hour cuts twice a day. But noon on Sat or Sun. It was .5 to 10 am and then 2 to 7 pm ....recharable florescent light. And candles provided...ALL OF ECUADOR IS EXPERIANCING POWER CUTS NOW WHICH MAY CONTINUE UNTILL DEC 2024 OR LATER It's not bad unless you need to be on line during blackouts hours..in which case you can get a place in the town center

I really loved the quietness of the location. Inside the studio apartment was amazing. Extremely comfortable bed, cooker and fridge with all utensils provided. I cooked 2 meals a day here with ease and enjoyment. My view out my window was volcano Imbabura. Lovely family living next door who own the place and they really look after the place. They have a lovely family dog and cat. The water in the shower provides strong pressure and always hot water available. There is also a blender in the kitchen for making smoothies. Highly recommend. I stayed 4 nights.

Great place on the outskirts of Cotacachi, 10 minutes from the centre in car and in a really peaceful location surrounded by countryside. Rolando was very communicative and organised a very tasty breakfast for us

Each room has an en-suite bathroom. The views of the surrounding mountains are incredible.

Amazing home and accommodations, super friendly owner. The drive was a bit weird with some pretty bad roads but it was really worth it. Would I go there again ? In a heart bit! Go there, you will not regret it.
