How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I did not foreee the building to be so close to the mainstreet. So cars passing by and the noise they made did irritate me a bit. But since Võru is a small city, then it was still quite enough at night.
My score is based on euro per night. If I were to receive this quality of rooms for lets say double the price, then my scoring would be different. I liked the soviet style nostalgy yet being clean. The coridors did smell a bit funky, but that did not concern me as the room was clean. The location is very good and a really well tasting, everyday open, caffeteria at the same building is good. I also slept suprisingly good (and im with shallow sleep), but I did bring my own pillow. Just in case. Overall- because the room was clean and i slept well, then my regards to the host.

It was a bit too hot for us in the room in the evening and we couldn't cool it down. Maybe a new table would be good instead of an old one. I didn't know our room would be on the third floor, so my relative had trouble climbing stairs, but maybe there was a lift somewhere (just check first if you need for one). But in general, everything was perfect and we enjoyed our time.
Dog-friendly place! Thank you for that, we enjoyed our time in Voru all together. The location in Voru is perfect, it is by the central street, near parks, cafes, promenade. Everything is easily accessible by feet. There is a big parking place in the front, everyone has a space to park a car and you don't have to pay additionally for that. Personal was positive and polite, we had a little problem in the room and he solved it right away. The room wasn't big, but nice and clean with very comfortable beds, bathroom was quite spacious and clean. From the window you can see a beautiful sunset. On the first floor there is a pancake café where you can have breakfast or a cup of coffee (which is delicious btw).

There was no kettle in the room and the bed was well-used.
Great location, clean and tidy, great restaurant on the ground floor. Good value.

Door locks looked like a bit broken and sometimes unlocking the door was challenging as key got stuck. One morning when we were in a hurry, my husband got stuck in the bathroom as the lock got stuck. Nothing could be done except breaking the door. However we informed the staff and they assured that no extra charges will apply. No brush in the bathroom to clean the bathroom floor :/ A table and a wardrobe or chest of drawers would also be nice to have as we had to keep all out stuff in suitcases during the stay
Flexible staff. We arrived later than it was planned and after the check-in hours. However that was not a problem for us to get a key. The place was ok as we only needed to have somewhere to sleep and didn't spend much time in the room. However, if seeking for a comfortable and longer stay, this place might dissapoint a little bit. However beds were comfortable, pet-friendly place. And if not having a very high expections, the place is ok.

I was wondering about so bad wifi, but i shared it through my phone to TV and it was okay solution.

total lack of contact with the staff, upon arrival it was unclear where to pick up the keys and which room. A colleague walked around checking where the keys were in the door and if it was a double room with a private bathroom. She occupied the one that matched the description. During the night someone was banging on the door and the next day an attempt was made to break into the room. The key was pushed halfway out making it impossible to open the door, after several attempts the friend managed to open the door. She found someone from the staff presented the problem, the lock was repaired however when she returned to the room in the evening it was open ! Maybe it is a good place for people working on business trips , construction etc. However, no one from our group which we come every year to Voru will certainly not use this facility.
