We were the only people staying in an otherwise deserted 12 bedroom hotel where even the reception area was locked off with huge wrought iron railings with padlocks. Although the lights came on as we walked through the building we still had to use the torches on our phone to see to the bedroom door. The room we were given was small, decoration was very dated, there was no air conditioning and no mosquito net at the windows so it was not safe to open them, so it was very hot. The owner was very proud that. 30 - 40 years ago prince Charles stayed there — we suspect that it had not been decorated since. There was no breakfast and no offer of one. It was grossly overpriced for what it was.

The room air quality was not very good (probably just from being an old house), but luckily it was easy to have the window open during the night!

Breakfast was good. Location - perfect - so close to the concert place.

We traveled during the time when the weather took a sudden turn to the colder side. It was really cold in the room until we got the heater. The ventilation in the bathroom is not very good, bathroom was all wet and moist even after a few hours from the time of the shower. But these are just very minor inconveniences which are associated with the older buildings, so it was not bothering us at all.

No information about key safe on arrival. Phone was not answered immediately, had to call booking and wait outside for ca half an hour. Please just leave the code for the key safe in a message.
