Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceIts a more local neighbourhood, not heavily visited by tourists.
Estefania, the owner of Bonita, was amazing and super friendly. We really appreciated her warm hospitality and had a great time there. The room was new and spotlessly clean, and the location was very convenient. She also helped us organize daily tours and recommended professionals who truly knew their job.

MexicoBonita Chillhouse is a super cozy spot tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. You get a lovely view of the Nile, and it’s just a five-minute walk to a large supermarket. The ferry to visit the islands is also within walking distance. The owner is incredibly helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay smooth and enjoyable. The place is always clean and well maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen and solid internet. It's still new, but you can feel the love and care that's gone into creating it. Overall, a really nice and relaxing experience — definitely recommend!

GermanyThe building looks a little rough from the outside and js a little hard to find but the inside is lovely.
The host is so lovely and helpful and the place feels very comfy and safe. I stayed in the private room, which is very nice and spacious and has a great shower. A lot of love and attention to detail went into it! And it‘s so quiet at night!

United KingdomWe wanted a place close to the center but not on one of the islands, as the ferry/shuttle situation can get tricky depending on the time of day. That’s how we found this accommodation, and it was perfect! Even from the booking photos, I was drawn to its cute and thoughtful design—and I can confirm it looks just as lovely in real life. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a welcoming vibe. The location is fantastic, nestled in a Nubian village with friendly neighbors where we always felt safe. It’s an easy walk to the public ferry for Elephantine Island, just five minutes from Carrefour, and super convenient for catching a public minibus (only 5 EGP!), tuk-tuk, or taxi. Best of all, it’s right next to the Nile—just a few steps away—where you can take a refreshing dip on hot days or enjoy stunning sunsets with feluccas sailing by. The real highlight, though, was the owner, Nia. She was incredibly helpful, always available to answer our many questions—how to get around, which ferry or bus to take, where to find the nearest shop, and even how to travel to other cities. Honestly, we would have been completely lost without her guidance in this lively, fast-paced city! She also helped us book a tour to Abu Simbel at a great price and made everything so easy. I highly recommend this stay!

AustraliaThere aren't enough superlatives to describe Nia as a host. She went out of her way to not only accommodate me, but share her time, recomendations, and even food along with facilitating scam-free tours for fair prices which is absolutely invaluable in Egypt. The hostel is also located in a quaint, traditional Nubian village which isn't touristic and is devoid of the hassle present along Aswan's main drag. Not only would I stay here again, but I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Aswan, particularly if they're travelling solo and value accomodation which is affordable, homely, and authentic.

HungaryThe building is pinpointed well on Booking but it was not listed on Google Maps and had no clear sign outside. Putting a one near the entrance (facing the square with the mosques, white stairs on the right) would make finding it easier.
Location: Quiet local neighborhood with kids playing on the street around sunset. The house overlooks the Nile. The square in front, flanked by two mosques, has direct access to the river with a small beach for swimming and boat pickups / dropoffs. The main riverside promenade is within 10 minutes walk. There is a proper Carrefour supermarket and ATMs (in the lobby of the Old Cataract hotel next door) on the way. To me, the area felt much nicer and more authentic than Elephantine island. House: Just renovated, the cleanest I've seen in Egypt (especially the kitchen and bathroom). I stayed in a double, which had the necessary amenities. The rooftop is available with pretty sunset views (see attached pic) and a nice chill area, best enjoyed with a tea. Host: Really helpful, English and Spanish speaking, very responsive, with lots of practical travel experience and great recommendations, especially about navigating the local particularities on a budget.

JapanThere was no sign board on the building so it's a bit difficult to find it but she said she would get one soon.
The owner is truly approachable and kind even though she manages the hostel by herself. The hostel was brand new and the room was so clean. There was also laundry service with reasonable price.

EgyptEverything about this place was top-notch! Exceptional staff, the hostel owner, was very helpful and went out of her way to help me many times during my stay! The cleanliness is unmatched, honestly. Bed sheets are clean, the kitchen is clean, and the bathroom was as clean as you'd excpet it at your home! The hostel owner even helped me book a once in a lifetime trip to Abu-Simbel temple. I will definitely stay in this hostel every time I visit Aswan!

The location is good as well, few mins walking to the dock and supermarket. We enjoyed the 3 nights stay at Bonita Chillhouse.
