How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Choice of food available, TV reception wasn’t good and bathroom can be improved. Windows are not noice proof and all through the night you can hear loud vehicle and shouting outside daily

I didn't like the breakfast quality at all, food quality was not as competitors. bathroom is a bit dark needs more light overal minor issues that could be improved.

Verified reviewThe location is great. Located in a historic area. The view from the high floor was great, I could see both the city and the Nile River
The furniture is quite old and not thoroughly cleaned. including the beds, rugs, and chairs. The blankets and pillows are low-quality materials. The rooms have tile flooring instead of carpet, which may not be ideal for families with young children. the electrical sockets are 2-pin only in some rooms, which are incompatible with many foreign devices. Unfortunately, the hotel declined to provide alternative socket adapters. Guests should be careful with the electrical outlets in the rooms
Dear our valued guest fahad thank you for your feedback we of course care about guest comments for your comment of rooms we of course renovated rooms annually for furniture and linens for floors inside rooms we changed from carpeted rooms to tile flooring due to hygiene it became more healty for guests and the process of cleaning became more professionlly for plugs sockets each room you will find inside it triple plug which is suitable for any guest using charger with triple plug also the facility of providing tripe convertor you will find 1 triple socket inside room we apply standard measurments with choosing linens such like blankets pillowes towels with high quality not with poor quality like you mentioned inside your comment the housekeeping offer to clean rooms daily they work 24 hour if you need any thing you can only ask and we will do it for you if we can like cleaning or changing bedsheets or towels or blanckets inside room however we do it already during process of cleaning also your reservation was for 2 rooms we add extrabeds for free of charge you suppose to pay for it we add it for free, also upgrade your room type instead of double rooms to2 junior suites for free and ofcourse we are happy with your comments to monitering the process inside hotel we promise you next time you will visit us you will see more improvements and upgrades inside hotel to raise our quality to be More than 100% one more time thank you for your feedback hope to see you next time at cleopatra hotel Kindregards Cleopatra hotel team

Verified reviewThe property was very clean. Rooms were clean, neat and had all the daily needs. Room service was quick and responsive. Breakfast was better than my expectations from a 3 stars hotel. Also the location of the hotel is very good. Additionally, the staff were polite and friendly.
