Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandWe like everything
Our experience at the hotel was excellent. The reception staff were always very kind and welcoming, always with a smile, as well as all the restaurant staff. The room was spotlessly clean, and the view from the terrace is simply breathtaking, with a direct view of the pyramids. Breakfast was delicious and varied. We also booked the pyramids tour with them, and it was a great decision: both the guide and the driver were very friendly, and the guide explained the history of the pyramids in great detail, which made the experience even more enriching. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay and fully enjoy the visit to the pyramids

AustraliaThere was absolutely nothing I didn’t like.
Would firstly like to say, a massive thank you to Anna, she was incredible throughout our stay! Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of incredible, and it truly made our honeymoon unforgettable. From the very first moment we walked in, we were welcomed with smiles, kindness, and such genuine hospitality that we instantly felt at home. The staff are some of the friendliest people we’ve ever met, always ready to help, always checking in to make sure we were happy. One of the biggest surprises was that the hotel upgraded our room in honor of our honeymoon. The gesture was so thoughtful and generous, and the room itself was absolutely stunning, spacious, beautifully kept, and with an incredible view of the pyramids. Waking up every morning, pulling back the curtains, and seeing that breathtaking view right outside our window was an experience we’ll never forget. It felt magical. The unlimited drinks were such a treat as well, making our evenings extra relaxing and enjoyable. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the way they made us feel. We weren’t just guests; we were cared for. Everyone we met was kind, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. If you’re considering staying here, do it. Between the incredible views of the pyramids (honestly some of the best you’ll ever find), the amazing food, the endless drinks, and the warm, genuine hospitality, this place has everything you could possibly hope for. Our honeymoon was made even more special thanks to this hotel, and we will forever be grateful for the memories we created here. We can’t wait to return one day, and we recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay.

EgyptIt's almost nothing I didn't like, but I would say it would be super nice if they provided extra towels and had shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. They should add a safe in the room. Moreover, enhancing the food served in the restaurant, especially the Egyptian breakfast, it can be way better in taste.
The staff is very nice, helpful and welcoming. A very nice view of the pyramids from the rooftop. The stuff is always smiling and always tries to make you happy and help you. The beds are very good, the same as any famous hotel. Mr. Seif offered us to stay in another room to refresh and rest while our room gets ready since we wanted to do early check-in, but the room wasn't available yet. They have billiards table and mini gym. Overall, it was a very good experience. I highly recommend it.

SpainWe had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond by upgrading us to a better room. From our balcony, we had a breathtaking view of the Pyramids, which made our stay truly unforgettable! The rooftop restaurant also offers panoramic views of the Pyramids - perfect for enjoying a meal with a spectacular backdrop. Additionally, we loved the lovely view of the beautiful garden of the hotel across the street (Marriott Mena House).

The location was very convenient in Giza close to the pyramids and the new GEM museum. The view from the rooftop was spectacular and the breakfast very complete. Top of all was the great service from all the staff. Chat, Rana, Mena and Omar were always happy to help. They took care of everything and helped us with the drivers and tours. Also the guys from the rooftop restaurant very nice.

United KingdomIn the bathroom there was lots of bottles of small shampoo only and one bar of soap. Would rather there was shower gel and bubble bath.
The hotel had clear view of the pyramids. The communication from the hotel was great I was only staying one night they organised an airport transfer pick up and drop off. Staff were very friendly and helpful they carried my luggage to my room, I had a welcome drink when I arrived, I had an early flight in the morning and there was the option of having an earlier breakfast at 6.30 am before usual 7am I was quite tired in the morning and came down close to my pick-up time so they provided a breakfast to go that was really appreciated. I would stay here again.

United StatesThere could be more soundproofing for the balcony doors and a bit better quality breakfast would be great!
The hotel has an amazing view of the pyramids and some of the best service I’ve ever received from their staff. They are highly responsive and take care of every detail including tailoring and organizing tours. I highly recommend a pyramid view room, as it is amazing value for the comfort and balcony. The air conditioning works great, and the hotel is very conveniently located close to the pyramids and GEM. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Egypt!

I had a great stay at Gaiya Pyramids Hotel. The location is perfect, with the best view of the pyramids right from the hotel. The staff were amazing—always helpful and ready to assist with anything we needed. The breakfast was tasty and had a lot of options. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We also booked tours through the hotel, which were well organized and led by a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Special thanks to Mena and Seif for making our stay even better!
