The shared bathroom has broken locks and door handles. There is no way to lock the door from the inside.

The hotel has no lift, just stairs up to 3 floors.

Staff are friendly

staff were so friendly and cooperativ, location is so central in the middle of Downtown cairo, where many restaurants, shops, Cafes , Transport and subway station are nearby.

The Gresham Hotel in Cairo is a 10/10 for price and location. The only downside is the stairs to the third floor, which may be tiring for kids or elders, but fixing the lift would make it perfect. Special thanks to Karim, Miriam, and the great staff for their excellent service!

Great hotel in itself, great staff, high security and clean.

The access involves a small street, which may scare some, and the stairs are quite dirty, but the hotel is very safe, hidden behind protective doors.

Most of the images I saw on Booking.com was misleading they should include that they are in the third floor no elevator and the entrance is not a full on hotel but it’s almost like a motel in the third floor without any elevator and the entrance is not on the main street. It’s inside inside the narrow corner.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and the staff are very helpful and welcoming

The entrance to the hotel is very inconvenient. The hotel is located on the fourth floor, and there is no elevator available, so guests have to use the staircase. This was quite challenging, especially with luggage

The interiors are lovely including the artwork. My bed was very comfortable. The bed linens and pillow smelled very fresh and inviting. The staff are very kind.

The building lends the wrong impression of the hotel itself, but once you reach the top floor where the hotel located, it's like the difference between night and day.

The location is very strategic. Everything was nearby. The staff (Adham and Islam) were friendly, extremely polite and helpful.

The fact that there was no lift in the building

It's located in an old Cairo tenement house, so the gate, corridor and elevator look terrible, but most buildings in Cairo city center look like. You may probably feel a little uncomfortable, if you would back to hotel at night. Lift does't work. But the hotel on the second floor is in another world: stylish. The staff is very helpful 24/7. Rooms are clean (we stayed twice), are already renovated, air-condition was new too.

The interior of this hotel looks nicer than the photos. This hotel is pristine, spacious, quiet and very comfortable. The bathroom has a big shower and hot water. The design and decor in the sitting areas are minimal and quite tasteful. Miriam and other staff are very helpful and kind. I highly recommend this property!

There is a saying "never judge a book by its cover" this is definitely true for this hotel. Upon our arrival it looks like a abandoned building but as you climb the stairs and enter the hotel its absolutely beautiful we couldn't have asked for anything nicer. Plz do not be put of by the 1st 2 floors. Staff was also very lovely and friendly

no breakfast no elevator, you have to use the 3-floor stairs very very old air conditioner, very loud without actual function no TV the bed was fair no fridge the main building door will be closed by 12 PM, and you will have to call them

There is no breakfast (it was included when booking), no lift working (need to walk 4 floors stairs), 2 first floors down are very dirty... the room is ok. Overall, it stays disappointing!

The personnel have been friendly and helpful.

First room , the air conditioner didn't work . But they relocated us as soon as we asked .
