Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South KoreaA bit far from the central area which usually means adding the stress of dealing with taxi drivers, but this is nothing to do with the accommodation.
The owner and his family were very kind and helpful.

Hong KongThe former name is Hoppa Guest House that can find in Google map but not so accurate. The gate is also difficult to be found. Please check attached map. The room is big but the air conditioner is not sufficient for the bed far from it. No private refrigerator in room but the shared one is in kitchen. There is no shop and restaurant around. There is small shop, bakery and take-away shop in the north by walking around 400m.
Many bottles of water in the refrigerator are free to use. It is very helpful to us. The exhaust fan is not working but it is still ok as the humidity is low. When go to hotel by taxi from north, such as Luxor Temple, Goggle map or InDrive try to suggest go by shorter way through Khalt Al Sharaton which is too narrow. Luxor Bridge is much better as in green dotted line in attached map.

United StatesThe main area with pool was a bit more run down than the pictures show, although they were doing maintenance on the pool. Still great value and facilities, first impressions just threw me off.
Private, separate property in safe location just off the beaten path. Beautiful partial sunset views from upper floor(s). Very friendly and helpful staff.

This place & the owner Mr.Mohammed & the lady deserve utmost appreciation for their humble & kind nature, wish I could rate more than 10. The hotel is absolutely wonderful & peaceful with all kitchen facilities. The room I stayed in was a suit & it was really a big sized and huge bathroom with a hot water shower at full force. All the staff members are super attentive & helpful. Definitely coming again to stay in my next visit. Gem of a Luxor, that's the tagline should be.

United Arab EmiratesThe owner was amazing—super friendly and welcoming! We arrived early and he let us rest in another room, which we really appreciated. The room we booked was spacious with comfy beds. There’s even a pool, which was a nice bonus. Only downside was the toilet—it could’ve been cleaner. But overall, great value for money!

United KingdomStaying here was the highlight of our 5 day luxor trip. Amazing friendly and kind family. Mohamed is a proper gentleman who is very informative and kind. Invited us to eat with his family too. Lovely swimming pool after a scorching hot day touring the main tourist spots. We were so happy with our room spotlessly clean. High european standard with lovely shower, towels, toilet rolls, soap you want for nothing here. Even an english channel on tv which shows english films. Amazing stay i genuinly dont know what else to say. If we come back to luxor we will stay here nowhere else. Ask mohamed about the 3 egyptian pound buses. Saved us a fortune on taxis. Btw its only a 2 minute walk to the banks of the river nile.

United KingdomThe place is far removed from similar accommodation, it's quieter and located about a mile from down town.. I was welcomed but not pestered, I was given free reign to use all facilities. My room was perfect and I rested well as the two days were spent resting after 18 days of travel and excursions, so much appreciated.. The cost was minimum and my rest was peaceful and cathartic. The landlord is very helpful with information,...just ask. Mark

The accommodation was a very cozy place with a small private pool for the house mates. The accommodation was super clean, and had a separate kitchen set up with Microwave, Kettle, and cooking facilities. The room was very comfortable, clean, furmished with chairs, AC, with a private toilet with shower with beautiful pool View. There were towels in the bathroom, but make sure you carry your own toiletaries as the accommodation provided only hand wash and tissues. The location of this property is around 3Kms from the Luxor Temple or the City centre, however, it was worth the price. We recommend staying in Sofia Guest House instead of choosing an expensive accommodation just for the location near city centre (hotels will be too small or very expensive). You can commute to places by booking your ride through an App - suggested by our host Sir, Mr. Mohammad called “InDrive” for a cheaper price rather than an expensive ride with out side taxis. Bargaining with drivers for a ride can be exhausting at times in any city in Egypt, but In Drive works cheaper as well as the App works just like Uber or Ola. This accommodation has a cute cat called Beeka in their sitting area can be an add-On for animal lovers. They have Shisha pots, and drink Menu in case you need any. Go for it, we highly recommend this accommodation. Love from India 🇮🇳

SpainAllah prayers from a close mosque, I guess, woke me up at 5am twice. One day I got just two minutes of hot water.
I have stayed in 8 hotels in Egypt and this is by far the best one. Nice location, just 6 minutes by car from train station or Luxor temple. Great owner, very welcoming and polite. Nice pool. Good price, great value. Big, clean room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in East Bank who is looking for a nice an affordable place to stay.

ChinaThe room is pretty nice. I would suggest upgrading the bedding.
Genuine experience: we had a fantastic stay, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful. On our first night, he assisted us with the SMS verification for inDrive. On the last night, I accidentally left my jacket on the chair, and the host went above and beyond by sending it to us via GoBus Express while we were heading to Hurghada. He really did more than he had to. The price of $20+ per night is very reasonable and definitely worth it. It’s a great deal—no complaints at all.

PeruFriendly host, he helped us arrange our transport to Aswan at a more than reasonable price. The place has a kitchen, laundry machine, pool. It definitely exceeded my expectations for the price we paid. The area is outside of the city center, but it's very easy and cheap to take an Indrive to wherever you want to go (less than 1 USD to downtown, 10 min away)

NetherlandsBathroom door didn't close properly. It's not a good idea to walk around in the neighbourhood at night, you're dependent on indrive or taxi.
Friendly staff, he was kind and always around for questions. Nice swimmingpool and lounge area. Room was big, nice hot water in the shower. Bed sheets weren't very clean upon arrival, but he changed them kindly. Wifi is available. Also nice to be able to order some drinks or water for a good price. It was no problem to store our luggage for the day after checkout.

FinlandUber does not work in Luxor, use inDrive instead.
It is not 5 star hotel! The place has a very good value of the money. The place was very nice, comfortable, clean, and affordable. The host is respectful and helpful. There is a nice cafe in the street! For host: thank you for your hospitality. I only have a few suggestions: please buy dark curtain, as the current curtains don't make the room fully dark. Please increase the charge of the room by 50 cent and always add toilet paper. I suggest that you buy spring mattress + bigger bed sheet for the bed to ensure the main mattress stays clean and in good shape for long time. I hope you find my suggestions helpful.

GreeceVery quiet, clean, good value, there is also a kitchen if you need to cook your own food, I had my flight in the afternoon and the owner let me stay until 17.00 without charging me for more. The boy that helps is very kind and not for the tips. My room had a beautiful Nile view. I was ill and the owner prepared special tea with herbs for me.
