Lovely guesthouse with excellent location and fantastic view. Mohamed was amazing host, very kind, helpful and always available. He helped us organize visit to Philae Temple and also gave us many useful advices. The view from our balcony was priceless. The area is very peaceful and authentic, you are on the island in the real Nubian village. The food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. There is no better place to stay in Aswan than this. Highly recommended!

Situated on the island Elephantine, this place is very cozy and offers a beautiful view of the Nile. It had its own little restaurant, where you can get tasty food and drinks (try their fruit juices). The owner, Mohammad, is very kind and friendly. When talking about Nubian dates, he said he would get some for me on the market, and so he did and also gifted me dates from Saudi Arabia. Would highly recommend!

If you want a unique experience then this is the place for you. Unlike a stay at a normal hotel, this is something out of the ordinary. Mohammad, the owner, is amazing and ready to cater for anything required. The food in the restaurant is home cooked and the best food we had in Egypt. Highly recommend it.

Food was very delicious in the restaurant, traditional Nubian food 🤌. The host Muhammed was one of the highlights of our Aswan trip. He was quite considerate and even helped us to plan rest of our vacation. The view is amazing from that side of the Elephantine island. Highly recommended ❤️

Beautiful view towards St Simeon monastery bank. Enjoy the nubian hospitality in a quiet and colourful guest house. Warm welcome from the owner. He was very helpful during our stay. He arranges your arrival by private boat. You can then take the public ferry which is 3 min walk.

We had a great stay here; the views from the terrace were incredible, as was the welcome from the host. Elephantine island was such a magical place to stay in Aswan, and this accommodation had such a peaceful and special view of the West Bank. We were picked up from Aswan with no issues and given a ride to the guesthouse, which was a great experience.

Perhaps a clear choice/arrangement for breakfast to help with staff who do not speak English?

The accommodation, whilst basic, was perfectly adequate and the location was excellent with a wonderful view across the river to Aga Khans mausoleum. Loved watching river transport drift by in the sunset. Mohammed was exceptionally helpful and could speak English and was happy to organise trips for us. Food was homemade and delicious. Wonderful, peaceful, tranquil location. The nicest and most helpful hosts you can imagine. The view across the Nile from our balcony can only be bettered by the spectacular views from the rooftop terrace. Wonderful sunsets and what an amazing place to have breakfast. The breakfast is lovely, freshly made omelette, salad and cheese, bread and jams. The restaurant on the lower terrace has excellent local food, homemade by the family and served with a ready smile. The boat ride across to the island is very scenic and as you leave the hustle and bustle of the key in Aswan you enter the peace and calm of the island. A very special place and run by very special people

We hated to leave!

What a fabulous place to stay! Getting to the hotel was a bit challenging for us old folks but everyone was so helpful! One could never find a kinder or more helpful host than Mohammed! He gave us guidance and helped us to arrange a sunset felucca ride and other activities! Our room was beautiful and the Nile view was unforgettable. We are so glad we stayed on Elephantine Island with Mohammed rather then in Aswan!

The town is very basic and not scenic. I walked around early in the morning but did not find much to see and do. So take the ferry or pay for a boat ride to go over the east bank if interested in more options. Shower in a wet room, no shower partition.

Lovely view of the Nile, helpful and friendly host Mohamed. The hotel offers free boat pickup at check-in a d check. Communicate via WhatsApp. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Omelet is main protein at breakfast. Dinner has fish and chicken options. We enjoyed staying here.

Very nice family style hotel on the quiet side of Elephantine. The staff were very friendly and always ready to answer our questions. They helped us carry our large suitcase from the ferry to the hotel and from the hotel to the ferry. They arranged our trip to Abu Simbel and everything worked well with no delays. They also arranged a last minute pick-up at the airport when we arrive. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall, it was pleasant stay, and we would definitely go back. Mohammed is a wonderful host, is it obvious that he likes to help his guests and that he want to maximize their experience in Aswan.

Our only want would have been a delightful shower…but again we got a vibe of the area and residents. We made due and accepted our accommodation with grace.

We arrived in the morning after a long train trip from Cairo. Our host was charming and extremely helpful. The destination is breathtaking…this is not a 5 star accommodation but it is original and perfect to get a vibe of the residents. We loved our stay and our welcoming refreshment.
