It was on the Nile with a magnificent view. It was very Nubian and authentic. The staff and service provided was exceptional. I felt very welcomed and at home. Everything was taken care of and there was always someone around to provide assistance or just a warm smile. It was the best place I’ve stayed. The place is as amazing as the pictures. Sherif and Ferris were always checking in on me. I will stay here on my future trips. The morning sunrises and evening sunsets were incredible. It is peaceful and if you are looking for a spiritual connection, this is the place.

    Nothing. It was all perfection

Everything about our stay was simply perfect. The boutique is on an island, but it’s a 2 min. boat ride to the Nubian Village and a 5 min. boat ride to Luxur’s main land. So it’s the perfect blend between off-grid and city life. The staff was very accommodating and sweet. They brought us a cake and sang a birthday song. The breakfasts were on point. Delicious, local and so filling. They even farm some vegetables and had so much rosemary planted (no mosquitos in sight). The communication was easy and Karim is very responsive and even gave us a lot of recommendations for restaurants and activities around. We will definitely be coming back with a bigger group next time.

It was one of the best experiences in my life. I’m into gardening so I was so excited about the farm and picking my vegetables everyday in the morning. The food was great and so authentic. All I needed was to relax and enjoy myself in my room and I got this at Nala narty. I am going to come back soon. Thank you for the memories and the beautiful experience.

The room was lovely and clean. Comfortable bed. Lovely towels. Mohammad the boat driver was fantastic and worked so hard, the free shuttle service to the Nubian village was a nice touch. The owner was AMAZING and very responsive. Helped with everything we asked and was so fast in responding. He even stopped loud noise coming from a wedding across the water, he got it fixed straight away and we had a beautiful sleep. He really has an amazing concept and property it just needs to be backed up with better staff and facilities and the cleanliness of the public areas.

Breakfast was VERY poor. Bread, honey, jam, very small amount ( like 4 teaspoons) of yogurt and very small amount of cream. That was for everyone staying there!! It wasn’t even enough for two people. The two young boys did the best they could, The manager Faras was pleasant when we first arrived but seemed very tired and cranky the next day. Breakfast is way to late at 9.30. The area where you sit for breakfast and all the other cushions were full of dust and dog hair. No shampoo or conditioner, no body wash. We had to keep our curtains closed as workers that were doing the renovations where walking up the rocks right past our window all day. Maybe the workers should work near the rooms that have no people. We went to make an early coffee s as nd all the coffee cups were dirty, Mohammad was trying so hard to wash them up fast while still trying to prepare breakfast. He really was an amazing kid. Very over priced for the facilities.

    Property response:

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're truly sorry that your stay at Nala Narty didn't meet your expectations, and we appreciate your honest feedback. Regarding the breakfast, we offer a different Nubian dish every day. On the day of your stay, we served freshly baked Fateer (a special type of pastry) with homemade cheese, cream, jam, honey, tahini, and molasses. Unfortunately, there was no bread, but we hope you enjoyed the other options. We understand that the timing of breakfast might not have been ideal, and we'll work on serving it earlier. However, please note that we prepare everything fresh in-house, which takes a bit more time. As part of our commitment to preserving Nubian culture, we only hire staff from the island, and they might take a more relaxed approach to tasks. To ensure the freshness of our buffet, our staff refill plates regularly. We'll add a note to the buffet to inform guests about the refill process. Also, please note that, as mentioned in our amenities section, we don't provide shampoo or conditioner. Your feedback reminds us where we can do better, and we’re committed to making Nala Narty not only beautiful in vision, but in the details of care and comfort. Thank you again for helping us grow.

Nala Narty is a gorgeous located B&B with an amazing eye for detail in decoration. Waking up with a view on the nile is truly incredible. The host was also incredibly helpful, he made sure we had everything we needed even prepared food and teas for me when i got sick. 10/10 recommend this stay!

Just fyi, there is no wifi, it is mentioned on the booking page but (my mistake) i didn't check as i assumed a "fancy" hotel like this in Egypt would ofcourse have wifi and it was a big suprise when we arrived. But again, that's on me, just get an e-sim!

We had a wonderful experience at Nala Narty. The place is truly incredible, located on a small island in the Nile and surrounded by nature, it feels like a hidden gem. The view from our room was like a painting, just as beautiful as in the photos, waking up to that every morning was unforgettable. Sherief was exceptional: extremely attentive, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. He took the time to suggest and help us organize visits, shared great local tips, and was always available when we needed anything. He was incredibly accommodating to all our needs and really made our stay smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend Nala Narty to anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming place where you’ll be truly well cared for. Natália and Nora

Loved this place. I’m a solo female traveller and found the Nala Narty hotel so enjoyable I went back at the end of my trip for a few more days to decompress and relax. Sharif and his staff are welcoming and friendly with all their guests; I felt comfortable and well cared for. I booked taxis through the hotel, to and from the airport and the drivers were there on time always. From other travelers who booked all excursions with Sharif (owner) they all commented on it being well organised and with very friendly guides. Sharif is professional and hospitable and is very switched on to making his guests have a great stay. The location is perfect for calm and quiet with easy access to sites, and Sharif is great at informing and recommending what’s around. The shuttle boat makes it easy to get around and I loved retreating to the quiet little island after long days of heat and busy attractions. Food is great. Sharif takes pride in serving local dishes and introducing a cultural aspect. The dining area is traditional with low seated tables where the guests can easily mingle. The rooms are beautiful. Simple and well decorated, the traditional architecture a pleasure to live in. I can go on about this place… It’s rare that I go back but when I find a place where I feel at home while travelling. Waking up here, with the scenery of dunes, the Nile and the greenery around felt magical.

A highlight of my 11-day trip through Egypt! After experiencing all kinds of accommodations—including a luxurious all-inclusive five-star resort in Hurghada—this was hands-down my favorite hotel and the one I absolutely have to recommend. The location is excellent, and thanks to the warm hospitality of the owner, I even got to enjoy a rare experience: swimming at a sandy beach on the Nile River. Yes, a beach on the Nile! Each day we enjoyed delicious local Egyptian food for breakfast and dinner, made with fresh vegetables. The owner would personally introduce the dishes and explain how to eat them, which made each meal feel special. And let’s not forget Cooper, the adorable dog who kept us company during our stay. The room was a bit small, but the staff were incredibly kind and made everything feel effortless. We had a 3:40 AM departure to visit Abu Simbel, and the staff were already up waiting for us—with a packed breakfast ready and even a boat to take us to the dock. Not once did anyone mention tips or extra charges. If you've traveled in Egypt, you know how exhausting it can be to constantly deal with price changes and repeated tipping. Here, everything felt honest and respectful—you tip if and when you feel like it. That level of trust and kindness made a big difference.

If I had to mention one downside, the bathroom sink was comically high—I literally had to jump to see myself in the mirror (short people problems!).

Nala Narty was beyond expectation. It is an absolute oasis in the middle of the Nile. Sherif and the staff here are incredibly helpful and welcoming. All our needs were catered for and we had a really comfortable stay. The food was some of the best of our whole trip to Egypt, I would recommend having dinner here every evening to enjoy the variety. Sherif organised trips for us which were all efficiently planned and smoothly executed. Thank you so much, we would love to come back and stay!!

I like the design of this lovely boutique hotel, with Nubian touches in the room and facilities. It is on an island in the middle of the river, i.e., peaceful. The communication via WhatsApp was good and prompt. The owner gave us many suggestions before our arrival which is appreciated. If you just wish to relax and stay on the island, it would be a very nice stay.

Since we have plans to visit Aswan, Elephantine, and Abu Simbel during our stay, the compulsory need to take shuttle boats is a bit inconvenient. The lack of staff is another issue - which other guests and we agreed upon while chitchatting waiting for the shuttle boat. Apart from Hanna who enthusiastically welcomed us during check-in , we often just do not see staff around, although it kind of adds to the tranquil feature of this hotel. Breakfast only starts at 9.30 am ish, so we actually did not have breakfast at all during the stay. Finally, the dinner was very delicious, they brought everything altogether to the table, but interestingly it was the only meal throughout our trip in Egypt that we (two females) felt the food quantity could be more. And since there was no staff around to communicate, we were not sure if we can order more or if they can serve more.

Excellent food - everything is made fresh from the ingerndients grown at the garden which you can actually go and pick your fresh prodduce from. I definitely had the best breakfast in Egypt over here, and I've been around Egypt. Everything down to the bread was made from the fresh produce. The location is gorgeous, a little island just before the beginning of the city before it gets busy with other buildings and structures - this makes you feel like you're actually somewhere remote and serene. The host, what an excellent mind and vibe, really makes you feel welcome and like home. The design of the rooms, the shared spaces, everything was well thought out and made with purpose.

Our stay at Nala Narty was nothing short of exceptional and truly became the highlight of our trip to Egypt. We originally arrived in Aswan planning to board a Nile cruise, which was unexpectedly canceled the night we arrived. What could have been a major setback turned into a blessing in disguise, thanks to Sherif, the incredible host and owner of Nala Narty. Sherif went above and beyond to help us completely replan our trip—from arranging activities to sharing local insights—and ensured that our experience in Aswan was not only salvaged, but far exceeded our expectations. We ended up doing all our sightseeing and excursions with Nala Narty as our base, and we’re so grateful we did. The property itself is stunning—peaceful, beautifully designed, and deeply connected with nature. It provided the perfect calm and relaxing atmosphere we needed. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious, and the care and hospitality we received made us feel completely at home. What started as a disruption to our plans turned into one of the most memorable parts of our entire journey. We left Aswan feeling rested, inspired, and incredibly grateful. We can’t recommend Nala Narty—and Sherif—enough.

There really was nothing we didnt like!

My daughter and I had a lovely time at Nala Narty. It's still new, and it's clear that things are still being fine-tuned and improved. The location is exceptional, as is the effort made by Sherif, the host. The boutique hotel/farm is on an island that offers peace and serenity and a back-to-basics lifestyle. The bedrooms are clean, minimalistic, stylishly furnished, and well-air-conditioned, with views of the Nile. The beds are super comfy. If you are looking for luxury, lavish buffet meals and extensive a-la-carte menus, this is not your place. Instead, you will get delicious home-cooked farm-to-fork lunches/dinners based on what's available that day (they usually consist of a salad, rice, a meat dish and two vegetable dishes). You can use the fridge in the kitchen if you need to. Breakfast is quite simple. I, personally, like to have more options, especially soft bread which I understand will be made available. I enjoyed the karkade (hibiscus) and the tea with mint and basil. Sherif goes out of his way to accommodate his guests not only in terms of dietary needs but also in terms of their overall experience in Aswan. He offers suggestions and solutions and is invested in his guests having a good experience. We enjoyed kayaking in the Nile, lazing around, and soaking in the view. We also loved Sherif's very friendly dogs. A free shuttle boat is available to the mainland throughout the day. In addition, Sherif can help arrange paid boat excursions to the various sites/landmarks. It's important to note that there is no Wi-Fi, so make sure to plan accordingly. Overall, we had a memorable stay and plan to come back!

The seating/eating area can get a bit too hot/sunny later in the day so perhaps it would be a good idea to provide more shade (especially for the hotter months) as it can be a bit challenging to find shade if there are too many people around. Thankfully we mostly managed well.

The property is in the most gorgeous setting, it’s new and everything feels built with care and as a nod to the local culture.

The ferry service across the river can be a little delayed but if you just plan an extra 15 minutes it’s never a problem!
