Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt started with meeting Amr at the front of the pyramids, he showed me the place and offered me activities to do with very reasonable prices. He was not pushing me to get any stuff and gave us in very decent treatment. He made us feel so special. The place is exceptional just few steps from the pyramids with a super clear view for the pyramids and sphinx. The beds are comfy and super clean, the service is fantastic. The magic word there was the people (Hamada, Youssef, Ziad, Abdul, Kareem, the lady that preparing the breakfast), everyone just spreading smiles and unbelievable positive energy. They served us with love and made you feel that you know them for years. They just give you unbelievable positivity with huge respect and welcome for their guests. I have visited many countries and a lot of places but this one is unforgettable and I can say this is the best ever trip I have ever made. Thanks so much for this extraordinary experience. My family and I will for sure come again. Thanks so much

United KingdomThe location is ideal for visiting the pyramids. Located directly opposite the ticket office. The hotel was very clean and had an excellent view of all three main pyramids. The hotel breakfast was made freshly and we were given the choice of how we wanted our eggs done. The hotel boy Ziyad (bodyguard) was very accommodating. Overall a dream experience and the hotel price with breakfast was cheap as chips. Would highly recommend it for families.

United StatesHotel only provided one small bottle of water daily...and only if specifically requested per day. That was not cool. I've brought a dozen groups to Egypt over many years, and 1 or 2 liters of free bottled water, per room, per night is pretty standard
Fantastic location. A one-minute walk to the Sphinx entrance of the Giza Necropolis (Pyramids). Dozens of restaurants and small markets within walking distance. Easy, instant access to all kinds of transportation ... Uber, Taxis, Tuk Tuks, Horse Carriages Three ATMs available in the parking lot. We were a group of four women from the United States. We felt safe at all times. Cute, clean rooms and rooftop patio. Hotel staff and management keeps street vendors from hassling its guests in parking lot and immediate area. (Those sellers are gonna HIT YOU UP, though, the minute you leave the parking lot and enter the street lolol). Attentive, but non-intrusive staff. Staff doesn't speak English well, but with the help of Google Translate, and easy access to the English-speaking hotel manager, communication was not much of a problem. We encountered a couple of random problems in a couple of rooms (a lost key/lockout; a toilet clog/backup) and the staff was diligent in taking care of the problems quickly and efficiently.

Germany- Room wasn’t 100% clean, here and there some minor dirt - I asked to arrange for an Uber to the airport and it seemed the host has forgotten about it and tried to organize one only when he was called by one of the staff members
- Top-notch location directly at the sphinx -

United StatesStaff didn't speak English very well -- both they and we hobbled along ok using Google Translate, but was a little frustrating. I accidentally left my key in our tour bus - unable to retrieve until the next day. The hotel did not have a master key to my room, so I had to shack up with another member of our group for the night until I could retrieve the key in the morning. I like my group-mate, but it sucked to not have access to my toothbrush, medications, clean clothing (after a long, hit, sweaty day), and privacy while I slept. TO BE FAIR, THOUGH: the staff really did make every effort to get me into my room (even so far as attempting to use a butter knife to remove the deadbolt from the outside), but nothing worked. If they learned from the experience, and get "master" keys made for every room, they'll have sufficiently learned from the mistake, and all is forgiven. I don't think pillow shams had been washed after the previous guest -- pillows smelled of "someone else's" head....do note: room and bedding was, otherwise, clean and well-maintained.
Fantastic location (literally just a few steps away from the Sphinx entrance of Giza Necropolis). Clean (mostly - see notes below) and fairly modern. We were a group of single women vacationing together, and we felt safe at all times in and around the hotel. Terrific pricing. Our group occupied several rooms. The toilet backed up pretty badly in one of the rooms. Hotel staff responded quickly to the problem, and when they weren't able to resolve the problem within just a few minutes, they quickly moved the guests to another room. We appreciated their fast response to the issue

United StatesI liked everything!
Everything. This hotel is a hidden gem. It's quite easy to find in real life (just like for the giant King Ali sign near the entrance to the pyramids) but as of now anyway BOOKING.COM is the only place that has it listed. Why I love it: The People: The hotel is above the family perfume shop which means that there are many attentive members of their extended family and employees ready and happy to help you out at any time and with anything. The two people I dealt with most were the managers Sherif and Hakeem, both of whom are not only professionals ready to help with anything at any time but also GENUINELY good guys. Speaking with fellow guests over the duration of my stay I can tell we all felt the same. The room: I'm a simple guy so I can only speak to my own peccadilloes. To me the most important thing by far are the beds. And these beds are great. Having spent a lot of time here I've seen many hotels in Giza and I can tell you that when it comes to comfort it's a crap shoot. And if you're booking a few day stay you don't want to take that risk. The beds are generously large, new and very comfortable. They also have an assortment of pillows so I was able to find those of the thickness I prefer and I'm sure you will too. As for the rest..? It's a room! The lights are good, I assume the wall TV works, etc. The only time I notice something specific about a hotel room is when it doesn't work, and here everything works. Fresh thick towels, clean comforters, hot shower... Everything clean, bright, and available in ample supply. The view: Well, the view can't be beat. Imagine enjoying your free breakfast of eggs, pita, cheese, jam, potatoes, drinks, etc on a terrace looking straight at the pyramids and Sphinx with no obstruction before you.

United Arab EmiratesOur Stay at King Ali Hotel Our stay at King Ali was generally good. The rooms were clean, although we noticed some sand on the carpet—likely due to the recent sandstorm. I would recommend the hotel management consider removing the carpets during the summer months, as they tend to collect dust and appear not to be vacuumed thoroughly. Breakfast was quite basic, consisting of bread, cheese, jam, and omelette, with little variation day to day. It became a bit monotonous over the course of our stay, so a bit more variety would be a welcome improvement. One of the standout features of the hotel is its spectacular view of the Pyramids—especially given how close it is to the Sphinx gate. This proximity also makes it convenient for food options, with places like Pizza Hut and KFC just a short walk away. During our stay, there was a power outage at around 10:30 PM one evening. We reported the issue to the hotel owner, Mr. Sherif, who quickly understood our inconvenience and kindly offered us an alternative accommodation nearby for the night. In fact, we ended up liking that house even more than the hotel itself and requested to stay there for the remainder of our visit. My family was quite happy with this arrangement. Overall, King Ali Hotel is a very affordable option with an unbeatable location near the Sphinx gate. With a few improvements, especially around cleanliness and breakfast variety, it has the potential to offer an even better experience.

United KingdomNo lift to hotel as its on 2nd floor but staff helped to carry luggage up & down. Hotel is away from airport about 45 mins as per traffic. As location is in market place surrounded with different hotels it was too noisy of music till 11 pm on Thursday night as it was weekend so had disturbed sleep but other nights it was all good. Mention about breakfast requirement to Mr Hakeem as the request given to staff was not conveyed due to which we did not get breakfast 1 day as we left early next day. The tour of Pyramids booked through them was expensive & not satisfactory. Return shuttle taxi didn't have AC so was very sweaty.
Very friendly staff like family. They have got Essence & Papyrus shop as well very nice & worth visiting. Room had refrigerator, kettle, Hot water geyser in shower. Do ask for more tissues as quality of tissue is not good. Seamless checkout staff helped in carrying luggage & even got our missed baggage safely collected even though we were away. I got packed breakfast box as had early morning tours all was good. Lived 3 separate days in 3 different rooms. All was good. Whatever you require for breakfast they get it for you. You can view the pyramid anytime as it can be viewed from terrace of Hotel. I booked Nile River cruise through them it was worth it.

United KingdomThe hotel was very lovely. I have nothing against the hotel itself. The only downside is that the breakfast was a little bit late and underwhelming. We had to keep reminding them of our breakfast. We asked the hotel if they could sort us out for two sim cards and the sim cards costed 10 euro for 10 GB which didn’t work after 1 night. We also asked the hotel for a car ride and they wanted to charge us 30 USD where on Uber it would have costed us 10 USD. Service was just a bit underwhelming. We expected a different service but they were very lovely to upgrade us to a better room.
The property was very very clean, spacious and nice. We actually stayed at Habu Hotel because the host upgraded us to a different room. Habu hotel was just 4 mins away from the original location so we still have the view of the pyramids.
