Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe only drawback noted is that to get beer or wine during meals, you have to leave the restaurant and go to the pool bar.
The Rivoli Hotel was a great experience, with an excellent sized room, clean, just like in the photos, and the air conditioning worked well. The restaurant was good, with a wide selection at every meal. Every evening they lit the grill outside for meat or fish, and they also have a wood-fired oven for pizzas.

ItalyThe structure is a little bit old and you noticed that in the rooms forniture and in the general maintenance: we had problems with the air condition, while the swimming pool at the end of the day it's a little bit dirty.
Close to Naama Bay center (15 minutes by walking), kind staff, shuttle service for Kalimera beach, while for Gafy beach (both free for the guests) you need only to cross the street. Good kitchen, every evening a different theme (Italy, international, Mexican, Asean...). The wifi works well. Mohamed (from cleaning team) is an artist in creating animals with the towels. Taxi service for the guests (not free but useful).

ItalyI didn't like the fact that you can't use the pool past 19:00 and the WiFi wasn't that great but overall it's a place I would always recommend to people
Everything was amazing from the place to the meals to the bars so I really have no complains.

United KingdomGetting pestered by people wanting to do massages, nails, henna tattoos, activities, go inside the gift shops. It was a bit much when I just wanted to relax by the pool undisturbed.
Good value for money and a nice spread of buffet food each day. Markets just short walk away and they also do a free shuttle to the beach each day.

FranceThe room didn’t look as nice as it did in the pictures, and the furniture felt a bit outdated. The cocktails weren’t great, and while the food was decent, it wasn’t anything special. One of the most frustrating experiences was being denied entry to Gafy Beach just because we hadn’t picked up a ticket from reception, even though we were wearing the hotel’s bracelets and towels. It felt unnecessary and inconvenient, and in the end, we didn’t get to visit that beach at all. On top of that, there wasn’t much to do at the hotel, so we ended up booking an excursion to explore other places.
The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and style, which made for a pleasant stay. The staff was welcoming and attentive, which we really appreciated. The cleanliness was up to standard, and it was great that the hotel allowed early check-in, making our arrival much smoother. We also enjoyed the chance to visit Kalimera Beach using the hotel’s shuttle bus—despite the slightly windy weather, we had a nice time there.

FranceAlthough there are 3 pools, the space for sunbathing is small The evening animation activities were a bit tacky Could make a bigger effort for being environmentally friendly - replace paper cups by glassware; add water stations in hallways instead of giving water bottles; no need to change towels every day
The food was very good, with a variety of options that changed every day

United KingdomRooms were dated and only cleaned superficially. The pillows were high and pretty hard but the bed was comfy. The food was a bit repetitive at times but there was plenty of choice and always something we liked, for the price we paid it was very good. I'm not sure what some people's expectations are this is a 3star Egyptian hotel and we were very satisfied with our stay. Had to smile that Christmas music was still playing in reception in February. Hotel reception did not like changing money for small notes but there was a bank 5 min walk away. We found overall EGPs were preferred to US Dollars, and 50EGP was approx $1, but either was acceptable.
A great hotel for the price we paid. All the staff were super helpful and smiley. The food was better than I expected given the price. A short 10 minute walk from Naama Bay. Both beaches were super, I don't know how people could complain. Gafy beach was a short 5 min walk, friendly lifeguards. Great snorkelling especially if you go to the left of the main beach which is allowed, life guards will tell you where, but still great on hotel beach. Shuttle bus to Kalimeira Beach was always on time, we came back for lunch and returned no problem. Nice pontoon for jumping, some reiews said the snorkelling here was better but we saw plenty of fish in both locations. Most amazing beach is El Fanar, Nemo & all his mates! crystal clear, colourful coral, $5 in taxi, better snorkelling there than the Blue Hole National Park as you are not actually allowed in the Blue Hole. A visit to Farsha Cafe is a must too, especially for when the lights come on. Hotel did some nice evening entertainment, we were there in Feb and there was plenty of space round pools and at beach. Towel art each day was wonderful.

MalaysiaNot a dislike but just a point to note: there is no elevator so need to consider for accessibility however there are easier access ground floor rooms and the staff helped us with our luggage to the 2nd floor so not an issue.
The dinner buffet had plenty of choices. Breakfast got omelette station. A few different pools to choose from. Easy access for pickup for any trips as we are right on the main hotels stretch. Also close by to supermarkets, hair salon and McDonald's (if that strikes your fancy!). Can book tours directly with the hotel and the price isn't that much higher.

United KingdomNot too much choice on the all inclusive drinks as could only have wine with dinner and it finished at 10pm. But saying that with the price you paid it was good to be able to get some drinks. And after 10 you could buy from the shop next door and drink them at the hotel.
The price of this hotel was good for what you got. The staff friendly. Had three pools and the option of 2 beaches nearby. The food was good. Close to neama bay. 20 minute walk or 3 euro in a taxi.
