How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewExcellent value for the money! Located right in front of the entrance to the Pyramids, less than a minute away. The views of the Pyramids from the terrace will leave you breathless; they're amazing. You can see both the sunrise and sunset, and it's a unique experience to see the sunrise illuminating the Pyramids. The rooms are very cozy, kind of small but the space is very quiet and clean. The bathrooms don't have a large sink and there’s no bathtub. Overall small room, but still super cozy! The staff is fantastic, especially Asmaa! And the person who greeted us at night for check-in (sorry, I don't remember his name, but he speaks Spanish very well and is a very nice guy). The staff on the terrace are very friendly and attentive! Early in the morning you can see the line of camels strolling in search of tourists to walk the long and narrow path to all the Pyramids and Sphinx, (particularly my companion and I opted for a guided tour and did the entire route walking since we are very careful with the care of the animals, we did not want to mistreat them by getting on them, but rather gave in to admiring them without using them). But I highly recommend the hotel. Getting there takes 40 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic and time of day. The hotel includes a complimentary transfer either from the airport to the hotel when you arrive or from the hotel to the airport when you leave. It includes free breakfast every day from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. If you're visiting Cairo, this is a great place to stay.
The internet is slow a lot of the time. For people who don’t have roaming service they’ll need to depend on the hotel WiFi so I’d recommend the hotel look into improving that. Maybe more routers on each floor so that it reaches everyone.

Verified reviewWe had an incredible stay at Pyramids On The Spot View Hotel, located just across the road from the Giza Pyramids and the Sound & Light Show truly the perfect location! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. Our airport transfer was arranged smoothly by the hotel, and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. The team insisted on helping with our luggage and were always smiling and ready to assist. Our room was simple but thoughtfully decorated, clean, and surprisingly cool and quiet. It included two comfortable beds, a sofa, TV, mini-fridge, wardrobe, and drawers. The bathroom was compact but well-equipped. We had a balcony, which brought in lovely fresh air, even though we didn’t spend much time outside. The rooftop was the highlight breakfast with a panoramic view of the pyramids each morning was unforgettable. We even had the option to enjoy dinner on the rooftop, which made the experience even more special. We also booked a private driver through the hotel for sightseeing and a return trip to the airport. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal, warm, and hassle-free. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay close to the pyramids with genuine Egyptian hospitality!

The tour guide, Randa, was absolutely outstanding incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about Egyptian history. She gave us a deep insight into the events that shaped Egypt and explained why only one pyramid is recognized as one of the Wonders of the World. Thanks to her expertise, we left with a much richer understanding of this amazing country. The hotel itself was just as impressive the rooms were spotlessly clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready with a smile and eager to assist. If you're planning a trip to the pyramids, I highly recommend staying here and booking your tours with Randa if possible she truly made our visit unforgettable!

Verified reviewnice room, everything if needed and is in right place nice view from the window stylish lobby I liked scents used at the floor no knocking at the door when sleeping late, and if went out late the room was cleaned anyway two bottles of water each day
crazy freezing temperature in the lobby I'd prefer much less strong air conditioner at its lowest speed I'd prefer to open the window and switch off the AC, but the street below was noisy There is self service laundry which is closed in night time. Hotel staff do not take clothes for laundry service, and I didn't have time for doing it myself.. quiet inconvenient

The view from the rooftop is absolutely breathtaking you get a direct, stunning view of the Pyramids like nowhere else. Watching the sunrise or sunset from the rooftop is a once in a life time experience. But what truly sets this place apart is the amazing service. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like royalty. Special thanks to Bassant for her kindness and professionalism she made everything perfect. And a huge thank you to the chef, whose meals were absolutely delicious. Every bite was full of flavor and felt like a home-cooked gourmet experience. This place may not be labeled a 7-star hotel, but the experience is nothing less than that. I felt truly cared for and pampered. If you want comfort, a million-dollar view, and world-class hospitality, this is the place to stay. Thank you again to the whole team – I’ll definitely be back!

The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making our family feel right at home. What truly made the experience outstanding was the staff they were the friendliest and most helpful team we’ve ever encountered. Their hospitality was truly top-notch. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of, and even helped us plan the best tour program for our family, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. A special mention must go to their on site restaurant, Pyramids Location View hands down the best restaurant in the area. The food was delicious, and the view of the Pyramids was absolutely breathtaking. Dining there was an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Pyramids On the Spot to anyone visiting the area. Verified reviewNice rooftop view, clean, comfortable bed, A/C and hot water. Included airport pickup was great. Staff were mostly friendly.
No squeegee in the bathroom made the floor stay wet for hours after showering. Our arrival breakfast (which we paid extra for with an early check-in) was full Egyptian and delicious, but the next two mornings it was basic and stale (and served later than we were told)… sadly it felt like we became 3rd-rate guests after we declined the hotel’s organized tours on the first morning.

Verified reviewThe staff was extremely nice and accomodating. Our wifi wasn't working but they got it fixed for us. The room was very clean and well furnished. The bathroom was very nice and also quite clean. We really liked the restaurant and ate several meals there.
The area is not walkable.

The rooftop view of the Pyramids is simply breathtaking perfect for relaxing in the evening or enjoying a sunrise breakfast. The restaurant service was excellent the staff was attentive, friendly, and the food was delicious and fresh. They really made us feel at home with their hospitality and warm atmosphere. This hotel combines comfort, great food, and an unbeatable location. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Verified reviewGreat location to see pyramids on roof top but Giza area was too chaotic. I would stay in Cairo next time. Room was adequate and clean, no windows though. Airport pick up was nice touch. I was good for my stay just somewhere to sleep as I had very busy itinerary. Breakfast was included and was very nice. I had a good stay.

Great spot for catching the sunset and having breakfast. Large clean room and bathroom. Friendly reception staff, very helpful with queries.

We arrived very very late at night, and still made the check in without issue, with a welcoming drink. The staff are quite friendly, and the room is good for the money paid. Overall, recommendable
Three things, the room had no windows, there was no shower plate and it shared everything with the toilet, and most importantly, there was a problem with the reservation. When I booked this property, the trip from the airport to the hotel was included. However, the property first said that this was not the case and that they only provide it for those staying two nights or more (false). Then, after I complained, they said that they do organize a shuttle (but did not follow through even though I asked repeatedly, and in the end, because we arrived late at night, they refused to honour this). A pity, because as I said, the hotel and value for money was very good.

Regarding the airport pickup, we advertise a shared shuttle service, not a private one, and it is available for guests staying two nights or more. Your arrival time was unfortunately outside of the shuttle schedule, and we informed you of the waiting time and alternative options. We regret that this was not suitable for you and apologize for any inconvenience caused. Verified reviewPyramids view. Free transfer from the airport. There were no windows in the room - it might be bothering sometimes. Breakfast is poor and no prices in the menu. The personnel is helpful - we had an upgraded room but for the first night we got really bad one - the bathroom area was literally over the wc. They changed it on the next day. What I didn't like is that they add up the price to the total sum indicated in the booking. Be aware you will have to also cover 3% while card payment

As for the windows, our rooms do have windows, but with internal views — this is clearly mentioned in the room description at the time of booking. Concerning the 3% card payment fee, this is a standard banking charge from the card machine provider and not something we add ourselves. To avoid this, guests are welcome to pay in cash. Verified reviewGreat location with amazing staff. The building has an elevator so you don't have to carry heavy suitcases up all the stairs. The restaurant on the roof top has a great view of the pyramids. The rooms / hallways were clean and there was always someone at the front desk. They had our room ready early so we were able to drop our luggage off as soon as we arrived.
The breakfast was a little disappointing. It would have been nice to have eggs and fruit instead of so much bread. The restaurants menu did not have prices listed and when we asked it seemed really expensive even when comparing it to the other restaurants in the neighbourhood.
