Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The guest house is very well located if your intention is to stay near the pyramids. The owner Sayah and his son Mohamed took very good care of us, and helped us arrange everything in our trip in Egypt. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, made by Sayah is very complete, diverse, and delicious, and it easily fills you up until mid afternoon! Definitely recommend!

EgyptI might have missed it due to the tons of positive things ; - )
I would undoubtedly say that I had a very nice and pleasant stay at the Pyramids Road Guest House in Cairo. The host and his family members were incredibly friendly, helpful, and hospitable. The cleanliness of the place and the overall atmosphere were wonderful. It's clear that these people work hard to keep their guests satisfied. Additionally, I organized a tour to the pyramids using their service, and it was quite nice. The owner's tips were invaluable in avoiding hidden stress and unseen inconveniences that can arise during such trips. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to experience a true and authentic guest house stay. Lastly, the breakfast at the guest house was a delightful spread of both local and familiar flavours. Each morning, we enjoyed perfectly cooked omelet eggs, accompanied by a hearty serving of traditional Egyptian beans "foul". The fresh salad added a crisp and refreshing touch, while the falafel provided a deliciously savoury element. The assortment of cheeses, coupled with freshly baked bread, offered a comforting and satisfying start to the day. And of course, no breakfast would be complete without the authentic Egyptian "kushari tea," a rich and aromatic beverage that perfectly complemented the meal. It was a truly delightful and memorable breakfast experience. My only suggestion would be to toss in some Egyptian sweets or desserts—because who doesn't want to start their day with a little extra happiness?

Nice place, not really far from the pyramids. Clean and cozy room. The owner is hospitable, helped us with everything, even gave us some buns which helped us not to die at long layover in airport :)

My recent stay at the 3-star homestay guesthouse was a simple and pleasant experience. Homely Atmosphere: The guesthouse had a warm and homely atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. It felt like staying with friends or family. They fetched me from the aiport in the middle of the night. Clean and Cozy Rooms: While the accommodations were basic, my room was clean and cozy. It had all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay, and the bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. Affordable: The affordability of this guesthouse is a definite plus. It's a great option for budget-conscious travelers who want a clean and safe place to rest without breaking the bank. Local Charm: This guesthouse served and excellent local breakfast from their roof top with a view of the Giza pyramids. Personalized Service and breakfast: One of the standout features was the personalized service. The hosts were helpful in providing local tips, arranging transportation, and ensuring my needs were met. We used the services of this guest house for the whole stay for trips and tours and our wonderful driver and guide Rahmy took us to places on locals would know and set up all our trips and tours including Nile Cruise and camels ride. While this homestay guesthouse may not offer the luxury and amenities of a higher-rated hotel, it offers excellent value for the budget traveler. It's a good choice for those looking for a comfortable and authentic local experience without any frills.

United StatesI didn’t love that I had to ask to get out the entrance. Usually someone was around but it’s locked both ways. Very minor inconvenience.
The room and bathroom were clean. The AC worked great and they had hot water. (I didn’t have hot water in my Luxor hotel). They were very welcoming and they spoke great English. I had their WhatsApp so asking them questions or letting them know when I was arriving was easy.

United KingdomThere is not much to dislike.
Location was good and in the price I paid, it was value for money. Above all the the host and his entire family was really good in their hopitality and providing support in arranging a tour to Faium dessert and wadi Hitan. Also as its a family home, I was happy to be told about some rules upfront to avoid any issues during the such as alcohol not allowed in their premise

Chile-
I am a man from Chile who came to Egypt alone. When I arrived at the airport I had a bad experience and I thought that my stay in Cairo would be bad. But I arrived at the hostel, and I was welcomed like a member of the family. They were very respectful in offering to take me to incredible places near Cairo. many of these I would not have been able to know on my own. I also had the freedom of a tour service with another company in Spanish and there was no problem with that. Every other day I took service with the hostel and I was able to ask him about all the topics and concerns about ancient Cairo, the Egyptians, culture, religion, etc. We talked a lot and they were very kind in explaining and showing me their world. I have a lot of confidence in his human quality and I recommend him for future travelers. many thanks for everything! I hope to return to Egypt with you soon. The breakfasts were amazing !!! Good bathroom and clean.
