Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe front of the building wasn't much to look at, but the inside was a whole different story (see what we liked)
We were accommodated at the Pyramid Views Suites instead of the Pyramids View & GEM view Boutique, which is about 3 or 4 kilometres away, which is owned by the same person Mr Ahmed, this was advised to us before we arrived. Our room was very large and had plenty of space. Breakfast was served to us in our room each day, and there was plenty to eat. Mr Ahmed organised a driver for us to take us to the bazaar area, Al Azhar mosque, Cave Church, and a few other spots not on our later tour. He also organised a half day Pyramids tour. Mr Ahmed also organised our transfer from the airport to the suites and met us personally on our arrival. Communication with Mr Ahmed was easy via whatsapp, his staff were friendly, polite and helpful. There were no surprises and we enjoyed our stay, which was great value for money. The view was fantastic, panorama windows view of the Pyramids (see picture taken from balcony)

FranceIt is not related to the hotel but there are not so many shops around for groceries so w e used the local app for food delivery in the evening or went by taxi.
Very kind owner and staff. The place is very well located to go visit the Pyramids, about 15mn walk. It is in a quiet district away from the mass tourism area so no harassment of any kind like taxi, horse / camel riding or whatever can bother you in the street. The room, bathroom, and all the hotel are with modern decoration, extremely clean (shower is great) and the terrace view is amazing for a delicious breakfast in the morning. We were meant to spend 2 days but extended two more to have a nice base to visit Cairo and surrounding monuments. (Uber works well to go to central Cairo and come back) The owner is helping for driver's assistance if you need to go to further places like Saqqara or other points of interest if you wish for some private tours. I studied absolutely all hotels possible before choosing this one and most comments were disappointing, except that place. I do not regret this choice at all!

The Apartment was vert spacious, clean and had all that was required for a nice and comfortable stay. The icing on the cake was the Balcony which was very big with an amazing view of all the 3 GIZA pyramids and the New Cairo Museum. Overall an amazing place to stay and explore Cairo, specially the Pyramids and surrounding area. The apartment also provides for a wonderful breakfast. You tell them the time and the lady will arrive with a wonderful breakfast right on time, not even a minute late. We were pure veg eating people and they made sure to provide a wonderful spread for the breakfast. Special thanks to the lady there for the Breakfast. Apartment host Ahmed and Mohammed (MOO), were really wonderful They will make sure you are fully taken care of and are really nice and warm people. They are a wonderful team and they also managed the City tour for us with the guide which was very convenient. Many thanks to both of them. Special mention to MOO , who is mostly there in the opposite area where they have B&B hotel rooms and if not present he is always available on whatsapp for anything that u need, special thanks for MOO.. highly recommended place for a family in Cairo..

RomaniaIt was a bit hard to find it (it is at the last floor of a building and it has no visible sign down, into the street).
It was near the pyramids (we could see them from the bed) - 5 minutes with the taxi, and near the new Museum of Cairo. The breakfast was exceptional and the terrace where we served it has a beautiful view over the pyramids. The host was very helpful and nice and the wi-fi was very good.

United KingdomThe showers & heating/AC could be improved. However I’m just nit picking at this point as the host looked after us very well & it was a very good property for the price.
The property was definitely worth the price. We had stayed 4 different properties in Egypt, all had their pros & cons. This place was best for value. It was cheap yet a good standard. It is not a 5* quality accommodation however a good 3* accommodation in Egypt with an Amazing Host & View.

GermanySofter pillows, more towels, and when the accom was full there needed to be more tables on the balcony. The area does not really have places to walk to easily to go out to eat. The staff will get you take out food but it would be good to have a better system and menus with prices so you have some clear choices, as it seemed quite expensive.
Clean basic accommodation and a very good breakfast with a good view of the pyramids. The owner was accommodating and friendly and helpful to organise a driver for the day for sightseeing. The lady who made breakfast was very lovely. The GEM is close but not walkable.

United KingdomEverything was amazing. The only thing I didn't like was having to leave :).
What a wonderful experience! If you are considering staying in Cairo, I can truly recommend you stay here at the Pyramids View & GEM view Boutique. You will not be disappointed and will have a lovely time. Ahmed and his amazing team have truly created an oasis of calm within the city of Cairo. I am so pleased that I chose to stay here as it made my trip to Cairo so much more memorable, and after a long day of exploring the local sights, I always enjoyed returning to the Pyramids View & GEM view Boutique in the evening. It felt like home. Welcoming and friendly customer service, a swift lift, exceptionally clean facilities, great showers, comfortable bed and room, and a delicious breakfast every morning. Everything was excellent value and perfect. Situated in a great area with a panoramic view, from the cosy roof terrace, over the city, Pyramids, and the new Egyptian museum. The location was excellent. I booked several day trips with Ahmed and was greeted each time with kindness, respect, and a good knowledge of the area by all the guides/taxi drivers who drove me around. I had such an exciting time with each one, and Ahmed made it effortless to accommodate anything you personally wanted to do. Nothing was too much trouble, and Ahmed is an honourable, kind, and trustworthy man. His communication before, during and after my trip was great. He will personalise every trip to make sure you see all the attractions upon your itinerary. I enjoyed his company very much and he became like a brother to me. Ahmed also arranges a taxi service from and to the airports. He made me feel extremely comfortable, relaxed and happy that I chose to stay with him. I would not have wanted to stay anywhere else. So dear reader, and fellow Egyptian explorer, if you want to receive excellent customer service and stay at an accommodation that treats you more like family than simply a guest, please do book your stay here. Romania-
Do you want to see the pyramids? It is the best place to stay in Cairo. There is no noise on the street, it is green (you rarely find it in the capital city choked with smoke and dust) and you have access to a safe area. The four of us had the apartment (the jewel in the crown), it looks amazing, it's clean, nicely arranged, with a kitchen, living room, 3 bedrooms, one of which is a double and yes, it meets all European standards. Ahmed, the owner, with whom I spoke immediately after booking, is your best friend. It solves any problem, from the insurance of excursions, the rental of a car with a driver, lunch or dinner, if you need it, whatever your heart desires, it is there to help you. As promised, he sent the car to pick us up from the airport for free at night (we had 5 nights of accommodation). We landed at 2:30 and he stayed behind us long after 4, because the luggage arrived with difficulty and the journey about half an hour.. He wanted to meet us personally and make sure we didn't miss anything, we had a platter of fresh fruit, juice and a lot of goodwill and hospitality. The breakfast is rich, served on the huge terrace, bathed in the morning sun, next to a wonderful coffee and the mysterious pyramids. Mohamed is the boy who takes care of the property, if Ahmed is not there, very helpful, as is the lady who prepares breakfast. Hot water at discretion, large bathroom with everything you need, towels changed every 2 days, clean linen and perfect mattresses. Don't go to stay in front of the pyramids, it's an inappropriate area, stay at Ahmed's, at Pyramids View & GEM, it's the best choice from any point you want to look at.
