How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Every meal felt freshly prepared, with options for both local and international cuisine. The staff at the restaurant were always welcoming and attentive — making every dining moment enjoyable. ✅ Service: The service throughout the hotel was top-notch. Every member of the team was friendly, helpful, and professional. Whether it was at reception, housekeeping, or the poolside staff — you always felt genuinely cared for. ✅ Hotel Facilities: The hotel grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. From the pools to the beach access, everything was clean, organized, and easy to access. The atmosphere was relaxing but lively — the perfect mix for a great holiday. ✅ Rooms: The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the attention to detail — everything from the bedding to the lighting made it feel like home. The housekeeping team kept everything spotless. 🌴 Whether you're visiting for relaxation, fun, or exploring Sharm, Ivy Cyrene is an excellent choice. Verified reviewI loved the staff they were very friendly the manager at the dining room and the staff that cleaned the tables and got our food were very nice.Also our room cleaner called Mahmoud Elkhatib went beyond the normal cleaning he made our room with different characters and made sure to have clean towels etc. The animation team was good but they had a lot of problem with the sound system.The staff was 10/10 🤩 and the food was very very good and clean ambient.
I didn’t like the variety of non alcoholic drinks as the mocktails were written differently and they only put one juice and a little syrup and called it a mocktail for the ones you had to pay 2$ extra. The animation team had non stop problems with their sound system. We had an issue with the slushies and ice cream at the beach bar they were never made on time and always was to little for the amount of people at the beach.

Verified reviewThe location, landscaping and general layout of the hotel was very good. Since there were reefs on the coastal part of the hotel, there were many different fish species and it gave you the feeling of watching a documentary. The restaurant staff were attentive and friendly. We would like to thank all the restaurant staff, especially their manager (I think his name is Tarık). We would also like to thank Ms. Aigerim, the guest advisor, for her interest and help.
The bed was not very comfortable, but otherwise we had no problems.

Verified reviewLots of pools, lots of places for everyone to relax, beach was very clean and well looked after.
The entertainment team was at times rude, they only spoke Russian, some of them just speak with people in Russian, entertainment every evening starts and finishes with a Russian song if not songs. Because most of the guests were Russian, all the staff in general thought that every guest is Russian. The rest of staff was wonderful although they again spoke just Russian and very little English, staff could not do more for us, very very good all the time even if sometimes we would not understand each other, we would use sign language. We had some other issues, they were resolved in the end, thanks to a brilliant manager. Overall happy, but disappointed in the entertainment.

However, we would like to provide some context regarding your low rating and negative comment on our team. During your stay, our housekeeping team reported that a bathrobe was missing from your room. As part of our standard procedure, we reached out to you to clarify the matter and requested to check your luggage. Unfortunately, this request was declined, and the situation remained unresolved until the bathrobe was later identified as being in your possession. At that point, you opted to settle the matter by paying for the item. While we regret any inconvenience caused during this process, we want to emphasize that our team acted professionally and in accordance with our policies to safeguard hotel property and maintain fairness to all our guests. Russians and Ukrainians were putting a lot of pressure on consuming loads of hard drinks and alcohols which puts pressure on the efforts and hotel budget

Verified reviewStaff were great (shout out Ahmed at the pasta bar and Ahmed doing table service, Nasser, Adel, Fadi). Pool and beach options were really good too. Lots of effort made to provide entertainment. Useful services re taxi, diving and snorkelling trips etc.
The food was the same everyday and not of a good quality or interesting selection. The alcohol options were incredibly limited, with beer provided only in plastic cups rather than the full bottle. They only have soda water, full fat coke/sprite, and juice as mixers to a selection of nonbranded (slightly weird tasting) spirits. I imagine also watered down. The rooms are fine but only offer shampoo/body wash as an amenity. I say all this but given the price, this was all to be expected - but good to know what you should expect!
