How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEverything was perfect!!! The staff (all of them) INCLUDING the owner, Mohammed, went out of his was almost every day to check on me as it was birthday trip. 2nd time to Cairo and I was searching for the view I got the last time I was here and this SURPASSED it by far! The view from my room and the terrace, was mouth dropping and made me very emotional if you’re really into the pyramids lol. The detail and thought put into the room to ensure it was special, I’ve never had done like this my strangers, it was truly and amazing experience. The rooms are CLEAN (and look just like they do in the pictures), everyone is VERY helpful and prompt, breakfast was great (a lot of food) and dinner, very tasty. You can literally see the Sphinx and the Light show from the terrace, no need to get tickets. This is the closest you can get to the pyramids on this side. The sunsets, breathtaking. DO NOT THINK 2x, BOOK HERE!!!! Thank you so very much Mohammed and the entire staff for making this the best part of my trip! I’m from nyc and it felt better than being in a 5 star hotel, honestly.
I loved everything. Not a bad thing to say

Verified reviewAmazing location and exceptional hospitality - wonderful, helpful staff who were available to help us in any way, including making a room available for late check out and organising airport pickup on arrival. Comfortable room. Enjoyable local breakfast served on the terrace with view of the Pyramids.
The hotel is modest and rustic.

Verified reviewThe view of the pyramids is amazing and the staff are really wonderful!! They prepare a great breakfast and take care of all your needs.
The area around the pyramids is not the nicest and can be scary at night, when we arrived we had a hard time finding the place.

Verified reviewThe room was clean and quiet with a sensational view! Breakfast was very substantial and kept us full for most of the day out exploring. Staff were very friendly and helpful - so friendly and accommodating!!
The water (or maybe the pipes?) in the bathroom has an odd smell. It’s worth noting for future travelers that, while we felt very safe, this hotel is in a very busy, area of Giza. Also worth noting that there is not elevator. Staff were super helpful with our bags though so as long as you don’t have any mobility issues thus shouldn’t be a problem.

Verified reviewThe view of the pyramids was amazing! The hotel staff were very helpful and supportive.
More meal options would have been nice. Also, if there could be a list of the main ingredients of each dish that would be amazing, especially for people with food allergies.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at Soul Pyramids View! The location is absolutely perfect - you're literally in the first row with the pyramids right in front of you, especially close to the Khufu Pyramid. You can even see the Sphinx from the hotel, though it's partially hidden behind some trees :) The hotel is super convenient as it's right next to the pyramids area entrance and the ticket office. Just a heads up though - it can be a bit tricky to find at first. Don't walk all the way to the fence, but turn into the small street just before that to reach the hotel. The standard was really nice and the staff were really helpful throughout our stay. We booked the room with the jacuzzi and wow, the view was absolutely incredible! Breakfast is served on the rooftop which you can also use for watching the sunset - definitely don't miss that. But here's what really impressed us: when we moved to our next hotel in Cairo city center, we realized we'd forgotten to pack some clothes at Soul Pyramids View. The owner actually sent them to our new hotel by taxi! That really made our day! Overall, we had a fantastic time exploring the pyramids and the new museum nearby. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to wake up to pyramid views!

Verified reviewVery nice view of the pyramids, Good breakfast
At midnight when we tried to get some sleep the prayer music from the receptionist's phone was protruding through the badly insulated room door... I think we were not the only ones to hear that that night but they should have stopped it so late at night.

Verified reviewMohamed and the team manage an accommodation that is spotless, comfortable, and provides an incredible opportunity to literally gaze at the pyramids from your hotel room window, such a unique and special experience. Very helpful staff that don’t intrude but assist in anyway required. The breakfast on the rooftop was a pleasure- feasting on a full range of foods with an unbeatable vista. Make the most of this great value option- you won’t be disappointed.

Verified reviewThis hotel was great. The staff were amazing, having them pick us up late in the night when we arrived and willing to sort out food if we needed it. The staff were always happy to help and help sort out anything if needed during our stay, as well as being very friendly. The roof is where the breakfast is served and it overlooks the pyramids which is one of the closest hotels to the pyramids. The room itself was clean and bottled water was given everyday. The hotel is located right next to the old entrance to the Pyramids and our room overlooked the pyramids which was an amazing sigh to see. The location of this stay is near some shops, but being so close to the 'tourist' area of Cairo, all the shops tend to try and overcharge you. Yet there are a lot of lovely restaurants available nearby. Overall, this hotel was a lovely relaxing stay.
This hotel is a bit out of the way, so it is hard to locate and if like us, you like to travel or get Ubers, they sometimes were reluctant to pick you from the hotel. I found walking down, a 2 min walk and then booking an Uber was more beneficial.
