It was my first time in Siwa and staying at Tanirt Ecolodge made the trip unforgettable. The ecolodge is built in the traditional Siwan style, simple but full of character, and it feels completely in tune with the desert around it. My room was clean and comfortable, with the kind of quiet you can’t find anywhere else. Meals were homemade, fresh, and delicious. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated how the staff were kind and helpful without being intrusive. Evenings under the stars, with nothing but the sound of the desert, were the highlight for me. This is the kind of place you come to if you want peace, authenticity, and a real connection to Siwa.

I was unsatisfied about the transportation fee, it was so expensive for me. And also, the activites fee with the transportations were all cost too much, make me this whole journey unsatisfied.

I was satisfied about the hotel enivornment and the owner's organic food was fantasitic so I was love Siwa everything I did and tried.

Limited Hot Water: The bathroom's small water heater offers only brief hot showers, particularly uncomfortable during cold winter weather. Unstable Electricity: Frequent power outages disrupt daily activities, with a notable incident during a power outage mid-shower, leaving me without electricity for around 24 hours. Tap Water Quality: Despite the owner's suggestion to drink tap water, its discolored and questionable appearance raised concerns about safety and drinkability. Heating Challenges: While an outdoor fire is meant to provide warmth, a shortage of wood limits its effectiveness, especially during colder nights. Restricted Kitchen Access: The kitchen's limited hours (9 am to 10 pm) may inconvenience those seeking snacks or hot drinks during colder nights. Make sure to have some snacks and water in your rooms. You can also ask the owner for some late night snacks to keep in your room. Security Concerns for Solo Female Travelers: Solo female travelers might feel uneasy due to the owner's room being connected to the guest room through a door, and the remote nature of the ecolodge means spending time alone in a farm setting with the owner, which can be unsettling for some. Limited Recreational Facilities: The ecolodge currently lacks recreational facilities, as the pool is still under construction. There are no designated chill-out areas, leaving guests with minimal options for relaxation. The only places to hang out are confined to the room, a small kitchen, or around the fire pit. Water Leaks: During rainy days, the ecolodge experiences water leaks, leading to an uncomfortable situation where water leaked onto my bed. This issue adds to the challenges of staying during inclement weather. Value for Money: The ecolodge is relatively high-priced compared to other options in Siwa. Considering the remote location, limited amenities, and services, the overall value for money might not be justified.

Charming Ecolodge: The ecolodge boasts a charming ambiance with clean, well-decorated rooms, though note that one of the two bedrooms is typically occupied by the owner. Remote Location: Nestled in a tranquil local village, the ecolodge provides a peaceful retreat. However, its distance of 25 minutes from town and tourist sites may pose inconveniences. No restaurants or shops around. Home-Cooked Meals: The owner, a proficient cook, offers delectable home-cooked meals. It's worth noting that the menu's consistency varies and leans towards carbs, sugar, and fats due to the owner's vegan preferences. Under Construction: The ongoing construction indicates efforts to enhance the ecolodge, promising an improved experience in the future.
