How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

While activating the safe its door opened and it was locked wide open. I called for it to be fixed so I could place valuables in when away. They did not come, but I also did not insist either. Just carried my passport etc with me.
We stayed for three nights. Omar at the reception desk was very accommodating and patient. The hotel staff (cleaning, lounge, pool service) was wonderful. Great breakfast buffet. Many options. Enjoyed the swimming pool.

The bathroom has a drainage problem in the shower area،The lighting in the room was not very good and there were a few problems with the service. The swimming pool is meant to close at sunset but it closes before sunset .
The location is excellent and very close to City Stars Mall, just 13 minutes away from the airport. The swimming pool is very nice and the room was nice too.The restaurant was excellent

Pillows need some attention as they were not comfy.
Room was good with nice pool view. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variations to select from. Staff were nice and helpful. We enjoyed the stay there.

My room was quite nice and had everything I needed. But for sure it needs one thing - the room carpet requires a heavy deep clean. The carpet is crying for a deep wash
I found that the location was perfect for my stay and met my expectations which are: plenty of restaurants within walking distance, one huge shopping mall again within walking distance although need to be careful how to cross the road since there are no traffic lights installed. Hospital next to the hotel and airport and city centre are just 10-15 minutes away so perfect hotel.

From the moment I arrived, my experience was filled with frustration due to the actions of staff. Upon check-in, the clerks spent an excessive amount of time trying to confirm my reservation, even after I provided proof. When we finally got to the rooms, it was not properly prepared for our stay; there were no slippers, ,dust The issues continued when we went to check out. The staff accused us of missing towels and slippers from the room. I explained that I always bring my own personal towels and do not use the hotel's, and that we did not have any of the hotel's slippers. The staff's insistence on a thorough luggage check was insulting, and their lack of apology was unprofessional. We were kept waiting and accused of theft, which was incredibly stressful, especially since we had a flight to catch. The entire experience was a complete disaster and ruined what should have been a pleasant stay. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to gewan hotel and I will not recommend it to anyone. I hope you will address these serious issues with the staff and management.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. I came with my husband for our honeymoon, and we were very impressed by the high quality service and warm hospitality from all the staff, especially Marwa from the management team and Rasha from housekeeping.

A/C was too cold in the room without the ability to adjust it, hot water to take a shower was not available in the room despite my compliant twice

To much disturbance, smoking in closed areas is allowed without any prohibited signs for no smoking even in the hotel corridors, they knocked the door on me while no disturbance sign is putted outside the door

The lobby is usually busy and during our stay there was an event held in the hotel and the elevators were also busy by the attendees.
Everything, the cleanliness, comfy rooms, swimming pool and its services, the breakfast quality and variety and above all the friendliness of the staff members.
