Out of 30 bookings completing Camino Frances, this was the jewel in the crown. Facilities first rate, also has laundry machines you can pay to use. Most helpful doing the Camino. The host was first class. Knowledgeable, hospitable and a good person. Over looking the convent it is spectacular. They also have a range of wines from around the world you can purchase, excellent and we will go back.

Easy and early check in. The person at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. A blow dryer was a real treat after weeks on the Camino. I had a nice terrace/river view, not a monastery view. There were a few good restaurant options nearby.

Rooms are big, comfortable and clean. The hospitalero, Christian, is always on hand to help. Love the garden area beside the river to reflect and rest. Property looks over the river at the stately Samos Monastery.

The hotel was fancy and the rooms and beds were comfortable. The hotel clerk was kind and helpful after JacobTrans didn’t deliver our backpacks. I would highly recommend this place. The full breakfast looked amazing, but we normally only have cafe con leche, so we passed.

A big, beautiful room, a very comfortable bed, and an outstanding breakfast buffet. This was a luxurious stay for us while walking the Camino.

If I could rate this place higher I would! There is nothing I could fault. The whole hotel is newly renovated, super modern and the biggest room we had on the camino. There is laundry service, a great breakfast spread which was awesome value for money and very close to the monastery if you wanted to visit. If you are on the camino the Samos route is stunning, my favourite section along the French route and so our stay at this hotel made the trip even more memorable. The difference between a 10/10 and and 11/10 is the service! The host Cristian was the best we met, he was so kind, accommodating and helpful. He really goes above and beyond. Thank you Cristian for your amazing hospitality, if we are ever back in Samos again we will stay at Casa da Botica!

It was like staying in a beautiful log cabin. The decor was lovely. Just a small thing - the quality of the bath towels didn’t match everything else. Staff were great & very helpful

Lovely place facing the Monastery and on a river. The staff was very kind and the breakfast was delicious. The room was very comfortable with a small terrace and view of the river and terrace.
