It is a Lovely place in the Middle of the Mountains with breathtaking views, lovely staff and all the facilities that.you need.And the Best addition are the Alpacas running around the fields behind the accomodation.I would definitely return here !

We weren’t there long enough to find off road paths to walk the dogs but as long as they were on leads we walked the coast road. It was very hot during our stay which attracted a few flies but a can of fly spray last thing at night sorted them out.

The location was amazing on top of a mountain/hill with beautiful views of the sea and countryside. San Sebastián was 15 minutes drive down hill. The coast road both ways was really lovely but narrow in some parts. Lots of cyclists on the road. It was probably the most relaxing location we have stayed in. The accommodation was rustic but very clean. We had a Labrador and a retriever with us and they were made very welcome. There were numerous animals next to us including goats and alpacas which were lovely to watch while eating our evening meal on the balcony. Parking was excellant. The gardens were very well maintained and provided benches and outdoor tables and chairs so we could sit and watch the sun go down each evening.

Dripping shower in the bathroom.

It's a very quiet and secluded location. Here, you're truly alone with nature. The terrace overlooks the vast ocean. The birds are singing. The room's wall design is a matter of personal preference. The room and bathroom have a touch of antiquity. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were clean. We had a great rest. We really enjoyed the breakfast, with its stunning ocean views, beautiful presentation, and friendly service.

I really enjoyed to stay at Maddiola with my cat,when you’re willing to rest away from the city,and still if you need it,not so far with a car .staff was very kind and helpful.I also enjoyed my morning breakfast with their delicious cake.

Leaving the place. Something to improve: add shower Gel in rooms

The overall location is spectacular with the sea view. You can see the Lamas around the house. We went to the bus station by walking and we came across horses, dogs, cows.. The house owner gave us clear directions and how to access to the house (we came late at 10pm). It is walkable to the bus station (igeldo camp)~30min At night, we took a taxi from san Sebastian ~20min, 21€. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the breakfast.

We found all the staff very amenable & helpful. The views (before the rain came) were fantastic! It was a quiet location with no city light or street noise to disturb us. The breakfast (€10) was excellent!

Could hear neighbouring rooms, neighbours two nights were loud, which was not the property’s fault. Would be nice if there were restaurants nearby for evening meal but we figured things out.

Set in a beautiful location with far reaching views of the coastline. Peaceful and relaxing environment with well kept gardens. Alpacas and sheep in fields nearby. Spacious covered patio with wooden furniture outside room. Some rooms have balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfast was delicious and served in the conservatory with stunning views. Hot drinks available from coffee machine all day. Friendly and helpful staff. We liked the remote location, there are lots of walks nearby, including the pilgrims route. However unless you are a walker, you will need a car if you stay here. One local restaurant at 500m.

Excellent location- quiet, stunning views the ocean, 10 min drive to the center of Donostia. Decent local restaurant at a walking distance down the road. The place itself is well looked after both inside and outside. Friendly staff speaking good English and French. Tasty breakfast. There is a vending machine just outside the house, so you can grab a cold beer or coke if you get back late.

The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The locations is great with great views all around. A bit difficult to go up by car when its dark so I would recommend travelling there in daylight. The spa is underrated, very good if you would like to relax free of extra charge. Breakfast is great, looking at the amazing view out of the window. Would recommend to couples or families for a longer stay so you can enjoy the nature.

If you like nature and animals than it’s a very good option. Owner’s of the property are very nice, friendly, and professional. They treat their guests very well and provides a lot info regarding what to do or visit etc.
