Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Good selection for breakfast, more than the usual access to coffee and fresh juice machines, no waiting for a table, the staff were prompt to clear away and make the tables available again to limit queuing to almost zero waiting time at peak

United KingdomPool and restaurant aren’t big enough for amount of guests staying. Entertainment is the worst i’ve experienced. It is basically none existent. The girl puts youtube videos on for the kids to dance to then gives them a mic for karaoke, no interaction. The two shows out of the 4 they put on were mediocre and aimed at children not adults entertainment too. Daytime activities include setting up a net or goal by the pool and leaving guests to it then she comes back at the end of the day and removes the net/goal. Very poor, this would stop me from staying again as albir has lots of restaurants but no nightlife so you want your hotel to have good entertainment in the height of season.

United KingdomRoom cleaning service was a bit lacking at times and quite unreliable, different staff did the overall cleaning to different levels on various days.
Room was comfortable, although a bit of basic maintainance would help to tidy up. Breakfast was varied and good.

United KingdomDidnt come on high season, no entertainment. Few maintenance issues with room could be rectified. Example:- Chipped tiles , television glitches but we could cope without raising it as a major isssue. Overchoice on breakfast.

SpainVery noisy at night times (until after midnight on 3 out of 4 nights) when we stayed at Easter weekend as there was a lot of youngsters (sports teams). Our room was unfortunately on a low level and close to the atrium. The noise echoed from the reception/bar/ pool area. We asked for a quiet room on a higher floor when we booked. Unfortunately we were allocated one of the noisiest rooms on the 2nd floor. We couldn't changed as the hotel was full. Very disappointing as it wasn't as relaxing as we were expecting. The reception received several complaints from other guests.
The food and Restaurant service was very good! Always fresh and good quality. Nice garden and Pool area.

Irelandyou could not bring a drink from the bar into the restaurant. Found that quite odd. Everything had a price. For a 4* hotel you would expect tea and coffee facilities in your room, an iron and ironing board and a safe..instead you had to pay extra for these things which annoyed me a bit. There was a safe but you had to pay 4.50 per day to use it. My husband is a very early riser and loves a coffee first thing but couldn't. We had to go out and buy towels too because you had to pay 10 euro each deposit and then 2 euro each day to bring a towel down to the pool.
. Weather was great..enjoyed the pool

United KingdomThe lack of drawers in the room to store clothes - there aren't any. Smaller items of clothing need to be layered on shelves making it fiddly to find things easy.. I also find the pool opening time of 10am a bit too late. 9.30 would be better
The helpful staff, cleanliness; local amenities (including the courtesy van to the beach)

United KingdomThere always seemed to be an issue with the 3 lifts, if the hold door open button was pressed it never worked, also at times the lift would just pass-by going up & coming down. The pool area seemed to be too small for the hotel & there was always a rush for the beds at opening time with many people seeming to miss out completely.
The hotel is very nice with helpful, friendly staff. The room was a good size. There was a good quality breakfast with a good selection of different types of food. The pool was very good & kept clean.

IrelandThe barbeque for dinner is poor, the cleaning in the room some days cleaned the floor some days even not broomed. The room has not even a glass or a kettle to gey some hot water for my baby milk. These things are minor and can be improved.
The pool is great with fences to avoid the kids going in the deep pool, the floor pool and the seats are in great condition compared with other hotels we have been, the room is clean and furniture still in good condition, coridors and lifts clean. The food overall is various and fresh, the town is clean, nice buildings, shops all around the hotel and no traffic lights at all that means very less traffic.
