How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

My boyfriend cut his foot with a glass that was next to the area where pingue ping-pong was played and nothing was done by the hotel, they just said they could call a taxi to take us to the nearest hospital (about 20km from the hotel) or call the doctor at the hotel but everything would be paid for by us. They should be more helpful and have insurance for these situations. Fortunately it was on our penultimate day, so we were able to enjoy almost all of our vacations. The employees were mostly nice, however some were not very nice.

Verified reviewWe were really pleased with our stay at AluaSun! For a 3-star hotel, it exceeded our expectations not only did we get what we expected, but we also enjoyed some lovely surprises, like the amazing animation team and super friendly staff. There’s something happening every day from morning until 10:30 PM, which keeps the atmosphere lively and fun. We don’t have kids, but if you do, this place is fantastic the animation team is outstanding: always smiling, engaging with guests, and especially great with children. A special thanks to the wonderful Front of House team : Lidia, Carlos, Moamed, Juan Antonio, Ismael, Daniel and everyone else we didn’t get to meet personally. You all do a brilliant job accommodating over 300 guests daily. And a big thank you as well to the Back of House team often hidden behind the scenes for consistently providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for so many people. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! As for the location, Cala Antena is quite limited if you don’t have a car, so if you’re the type who enjoys exploring, renting one is a good idea. That said, there’s a beautiful beach just 10 minutes away on foot — Cala Domingos — which is definitely worth a visit. Overall, a great experience and excellent value. Highly recommend! Sofia and Rui
We know it’s a 3-star hotel and that the building is quite old, with only some areas partially refurbished. However, the rooms are not soundproof at all we could clearly hear noise from the hallway and neighbouring rooms. When we raised this with reception, one of the staff members responded rather rudely with “it is what it is…”, which was disappointing.

Verified reviewI liked the ample choice of food and drinks, the proximity to the beach and the possibility of booking guided tours to interesting sights mallorca. The pool area was nice and the live concerts and animation for kids was ambitious and delightful. The cleaning staff was super nice and thorough, thanks for that!
Half the staff at the reception was nice and helpful while the other half was unapproachable and rude. Questions weren't welcome and whenever we came around (for example to book tours or get general guidance) we just felt as if we were annoying them. Some of the staff is incapable of smiling, which is fine, but some people, especially Waka, lacked minimum decency and just acted in a very condescending way while we still remained nice. Lots of information I obtained through my own research (also about amenities in the hotel) as we weren't briefed at all. No refund for the tokens and boiler either or help either carrying stuff. We don't need a lot, just friendliness overall, and that was what the hotel lacked many times. Roxana abd Lukas, you were great though!

Verified reviewHotel and rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is very friendly. Free parking available in the area close to the hotel. Food and drinks were always accessible, and every evening there’s a different event (Lion King musical, ABBA singers, DJ etc.). The food is good and diverse, with a different themed dinner each night (e.g., Asian, Italian, Spanish evening…).
You might get a bit tired of the food after a while, but that’s probably just a matter of personal taste.

Food is great but sometimes it is kind of repetitive, but everything is very well cooked and prepared. The pool closes at 6 which is unfortunate in summer time.

Verified reviewVery disappointing experience. Our holiday was ruined, and there was nothing positive
All the money from our wallets, which were in our room, was stolen—approximately 400 euros in cash, including coins and even small denominations. When we reported the incident, Manager Aida informed us that the hotel administration cannot offer assistance and that the responsibility for securing personal belongings in the room falls solely on the guests. The hotel has taken no action to address this issue. We were further informed that there is only one manager on duty in the entire hotel, and she refused to provide contact information for any senior managers, sub-directors, or directors. The contact details of the higher authorities are deliberately kept hidden from guests, and most of the management is either absent or there is no temporary replacement on Tuesday during working hours. We have reported the incident to the national police department, who have officially confirmed that a BUGLARY OCCURED IN ALUASUM CALA ANTHENA (we have all relevant documents). However, the hotel administration has refused to provide any assistance or support. The stolen money was crucial for our trip home, as we are only students. We also provided information about a suspicious person who might be involved in this illegal activity, but Manager Aida dismissed our concerns, stating that no "strange" activities were observed. We were shocked by this response, as a burglary is undoubtedly a serious matter and cannot be considered "normal" activity. !!!! It makes one wonder if it is only a matter of time before burglars enter rooms while guests are sleeping and take all their belongings.!!!!
