Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe neighborhood felt slightly sketchy, and the room was not the cleanest. At the same time, I never felt insecure or as though I was sleeping in a slum. However, the room definitely could've been cleaner. Do be warned that the bathroom is shared.
This is a budget location. Nothing stood out as particularly impressive, but I wasn't expecting anything to for the price I paid.

Fair balance between cost/quality. I could easily park for free my motorbike in front of the property. It is a budget accomodation and that’s what you get. Easy access by bus to city centre (15-20 min).

United StatesOne guest in my group cannot have gluten and there was no option for gluten free with the breakfast at El Punto. If we had known what the breakfast options were before booking, it is likely we would not have booked here. The cars constantly driving by on the street below were loud. We thought that our reservation included free Wi-Fi as stated in the confirmation form email sent, but could not find out how to connect to it.
The beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean.

PortugalThere is a bus that goes to the city centre, but the trip wasn't as fast as hoped, especially during traffic hours.
There was a possibility to book a flamenco show in a typical Cueva house; the breakfast included, though simple, was good to start the day.

United KingdomOur room was at the front of the hotel, please note that the Avenue de Andalucía is a four line highway and is busy day and night. Noise from the highway is considerable, best request a room away from the highway or makesure you have ear plugs available to allow a good night's sleep.
Good value for money. Very friendly and knowledgeable host. Good restaurant nearby. Laundette within easy walking distance. Park opposite well worth a visit.

New ZealandNo control over central aircon of apartment which is switched off at night when you need it most during a hot summer. I normally don't sleep with aircon on but when its really hot one has to sometimes. Its in an apartment block on a main so expect noise from street or if your room is on an inner courtyard from other apartments.
Great budget room if you arrive by car: free parking in the street, €1.40 bus ride #4 at the door to cathedral every 10 min with free transfer within the hour to Alhambra (buy ticket from bus driver, cash, cheaper if you buy multi ticket in town from machine). Supermarket 2 blocks away. Owner very helpful and accomodating. It's an apartment which rooms are let, so not a hotel. Cheap options if you only need a room to sleep. Very clean.

AustraliaThe room itself was extremely basic with no decor to add some interest. I needed to leave the external door open to get ventilation as there were no windows for air. No powerpoints to plug in phone etc only one in the far corner. The TV had no reception but I managed to stand on the bed (as it was next to the ceiling) to get it working. The TV was on a bracket that doesn’t move, so need to look up to the ceiling to watch it. The bathroom was nice but you can’t open the door more than half a meter as the floor has warped. I am small and could get in but a larger person would have trouble. Kitchen was not equipped with many plates, bowls, cups etc I searched every cupboard to find a cup and a side plate.
I liked that I had my own room and bathroom. The host was nice and offered me a cold drink. There are large living areas but from what I saw in three days - they don’t get used or can’t be used (not sure).

NetherlandsThe room was very plainly finished but it was fine with us. Indeed, it can be a bit noisy since the hotel is located near busy street. However, if you use shatters, it is quieter. It didn't afect our sleep too much. We still got rested.
The room was really clean. I can't say anything wrong about it. The host offered us very nice Flamenco show. We really enjoyed it! I find the location of the hotel great if you come to Granada by car. It is located far from the busy city center and close to highway. You can easily park nearby for free and every 10 min there is a bus going to the more touristic areas.
