How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

There is a portable AirCo in a room. That means you have to sleep with a window open and hear all the noises from the street; apart from that, the air conditioner itself is extremely noisy. I basically couldn't sleep. Parking - there is no parking, it is just public parking in the city Breakfast is served in a cafeteria nearby. You have to walk 4 minutes, and then they give you coffee and a piece of bread with oil. No jokes, no cheese, no jamon, just a piece of bread.
Thank you for your stay. 45 euros for a room with a shared bathroom, and we gave you a room with a private bathroom, so we didn't charge you anything extra. Breakfast is average and not buffet-style, as detailed in the reservation. Parking is free nearby, but private parking is not available. It's detailed in the reservation. The noise on the avenue depends on whether each guest fully closes the double-pane window. We have double glazing and an additional blind that keeps the noise down. Although there's always noise in the city, it's less noise here because we're not in the center of town. We have three different types of air conditioning in our rooms: 1. Natural air conditioning from a fan; 2. Air conditioning with a night option, so there's almost no noise; 3. Central air conditioning. We understand our guests very well, as you pay little for a lot. Regards, Martín House Granada

There is not air conditioner, just a fan. No hay aire acondicionado, solo un ventilador.
Thank you for your stay. Thank you for your comment. Clean, quiet, and friendly host. Clean, quiet, and the owner is a good host. We have three different air conditioning units: one central air conditioning unit. Two air conditioning units in each room. Three regular air conditioning fans. We regret to say that what you said is incorrect. Regards, Martin House Granada

Verified reviewA simple, quiet room and a lovely common area with lots of seating and a full kitchen. Great value and a happy stay.
I would like to be able to lock/unlock the room from the inside with no key. We had one key but two people, so the door had to stay unlocked while the key was away.
Thank you for your stay at Martin House Granada. Thank you for your kind review. A simple, quiet room and a lovely common area with plenty of seating and a full kitchen. Excellent value for money and a pleasant stay. The lock on each room has a key to lock and unlock it. We don't understand what the problem actually was. In any case, we are always available to help you with anything. Regards Martin House Granada

Verified reviewI do not recommend it.. I booked a room with a separate bathroom, and they gave me a shared bathroom. The employee is lying, and I called Booking and did not receive an answer. The place is bad with street noises. You will regret booking there.

Verified reviewThis is a budget location. Nothing stood out as particularly impressive, but I wasn't expecting anything to for the price I paid.
The neighborhood felt slightly sketchy, and the room was not the cleanest. At the same time, I never felt insecure or as though I was sleeping in a slum. However, the room definitely could've been cleaner. Do be warned that the bathroom is shared.

Verified reviewFair balance between cost/quality. I could easily park for free my motorbike in front of the property. It is a budget accomodation and that’s what you get. Easy access by bus to city centre (15-20 min).
Shower cabin cleaning needs improvement.
Thank you for your stay Thank you for your kind comment We always have a good price in line with the quality we offer Our cleaning is always at its best and we use everything necessary to continue with a good standard Afterwards, each person is free to think what they want. Verified reviewThe location was very close to where we needed to be. The common living area was spacious.
The in room air conditioning was noisy and kept going on and off all night, waking us frequently. Also, the beds were slightly softer than plywood, causing me to turn and toss frequently as various parts of my body complained about the pains.
Thank you for your stay Martin House Granada has been operating for more than 10 years We think there must be a reason for this. The noise on the avenue depends on whether each client closes the double window pane completely. We have double glazing and an additional blind which blocks out noise Although there is always noise in the city, there is less noise here because we are not in the complete centre of the city. Air conditioning The air conditioning can always be changed to the sleeping position so that there is no noise, we think that they did not have it in the correct position, you could also ask us. Our beds and mattresses are changed every year, but we cannot change them every day. As for The physical condition of each client, we are not responsible Regards Martin House Granada

Verified reviewMartin House is a great base if you are on a budget. No negatives at all. You get a traditional hotel room with ensuite. Very clean. Just take a kettle and hairdryer if you need them. Very generous free breakfast at El Punto just 50m away. We went by car and had no problem parking at the side of the building in August. Our advice is to take the no. 4 bus to the Cathedral stop and buy a two day ticket for 14€ - half price for pensioners - for the tourist train and just hop on and off to get the most of Granada. Fabulous city 🥰
Yes there was a lot of traffic noise up until midnight because this accommodation is on a main road but the upside is the no.4 bus stop just a few metres away goes straight into the city centre for 1.40€. We made good use of it. Anyway, there are two fantastic bar/restaurants within 100m and why wouldn't you want to end the evening at one of those. By the time you get to bed all is quiet 🤫
