How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe apartment serves its purpose to house 7 people. The location was great and there’s a 24hr supermarket next door. The cleaners who couldn’t speak any English but they were friendly and did a good job.
You didn’t have to collect the keys despite being told that we had to which would have been at a different address than the apartment. That’s a pain. You can gain entry to the apartment by using the JustIn app. The downstairs toilet does not have a screen so you can be viewed on the loo if you’re in the bedroom or sat on the terrace! If you’re using the kitchen sink the stairs jut out causing a H&S hazard as you can bang your head on sharp metal. They also send people around on a weekend to check if you’re making any noise in the apartment. So we had a discussion with their operative that we weren’t making noise that would cause our neighbours to complain

They didn't have an iron they were missing items on the itinerary list. They also don't return your calls or messages in a timely manor. Thirdly they have kept my deposit and not answered my emails or calls asking about it after a whole week of trying to contact the company still nothing.

Verified reviewScam , scam , scammers…….!!!!!!! We were a family of 4 and apparently we did noise. We didn’t . They don’t want to return €400 deposit because “we did noise” , sending fake videos where there is only a door slamming of the guy that apparently knocked to our door , but clearly you can see it’s not ! And he hasn’t knocked on the door !Apparently the camera doesn’t record the sound as there is no noise , but it recorded the sound of the door slamming!!! F…ing scammers. pool is all chipped , not safe at all. Wood on the side it’s all wobbly and completely coming off
The apartment is in the basement pool is not safe at all , you can even hear the steps in the above room, smells like a toilet , had to use all my deodorant as I could stand the smell. The “apartment” is a basement with no natural sun light , no windows. Pool is a dangerous space, we had to tell our daughter that they closed the pool so she wouldn’t use it , it’s a complete joke . Wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody.

Verified review- access to the pool - AC - Big living room - balcony for each room - great staff at the agency (i forgot a t shirt in the apartment and they were very supportive so i can get it back) - 2 levels apartment + on roof terrace
- no non stop access to the pool (probably because of the neighbours) - 400 euro deposit (i was told I will get it back since there were no issues in the apartment). At other apartments, it is only 200.

The property is in no way represented by the pictures and I wish I'd done some more due diligence on reviews before I booked because there's a reason it's only passable; This property is in no way being maintained, when I requested a complaint be lodged nothing was done except to say its been referred to maintenance; Not good value for money!!!!!

Our experience with this hotel was absolutely horrible and I’m warning anyone in advance of the uncleanliness of the room, false advertising and the unhelpful staff. Not to mention our deposit still has not been returned after a month of our booking. If you are thinking of staying here DO NOT! Firstly the room was advertised as a loft apartment with a terrace and for the amount of money we paid this is what we were expecting. The room turned out to be in the basement with no windows, no terrace and it was appalling. The walls were smeared with handprints and the smell was unbearable. We did not stay one night in the room and the hotel has refused to give us our money back when they said they would when we spoke to them in person. They were nearly impossible to get a hold of and this whole experience really put a dampen on our trip to Barcelona. The fact that we are still waiting for the deposit to be returned is criminal and we will be taking further action. It just goes to show the unethical approach this company takes when dealing with customers. From the advertising to the money and also the lies they tell to your face. If you are looking for nice accommodation with a good company this is not the place!!

First, i must pick up the keys from the another side of the city. Then i paid deposit, what i never get back, they dont ansver my e-mails. The room has paperthin walls, so i heard all the neighbours, and for some wierd reasons we even see inside each others rooms. No blankets, no closets

Verified reviewVery disgusting apartments with flies everywhere the boiler was broke and sounded as if it was about to explode! They refused to give us a refund even though the people above us where extremely loud and woke my children up there was an alarm which kept going off as soon as you turned the shower on or flushed the toilet! DO NOT STAY THERE, you can hear everything which goes on in the apartments next to you. It’s a big big waste of money and we all got sick once we left!! The staff were useless and say they attempted to contact me however I have all the messages on WhatsApp which they suddenly stopped replying to me.
