How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAmazing location, good A/C, coffee machine was a welcome bonus. Really flexible on arrival and departure times Cute patio area with plants typical of the area Really good coffee place around the corner
Could use a little TLC in some places, but for the price cannot complain at all

Verified reviewThis classic old time Mediterranean building was well located, not too far from the train station, and peaceful. There is no TV in the room, but one doesn't go to Old Town Cordoba to watch television. The internet connection was good.
It would have been nice to have a little more towel holding space, there was only 1 hook on the wall. I draped the towels on the shower so they wouldn't be underfoot, and the hand towel I laid over the TP holder on the wall so it would be convenient.

Verified reviewBig room comfortable clean was very pleased to have gotten so many towels. Good shower with a strong water pressure. Glad that the keys could be picked up in a safe for I arrived later so no need to stress about that also you have a front door key plus room key with gives you the freedom to go in out Koffie tea hot cold water machine present.
Little bit tricky getting there by foot although I come with public transport it's tucked in a alleyway so can easily pass it by.

Verified reviewGreatr location. 20 mins walk from train station and very close to the historical sites
The room didn't look like the photos. Very basic furnishings and decor. Bathroom wasn't very clean and the whole vibe didn't seem very professionally maintained.

Verified reviewI need to write a longer review, because I hate people that leave unrealistic reviews here. First off, the location and the price solely for location is more than great, inside the city centre, you can literally walk anywhere. It has Arabic vibes and looks incredible inside, when you enter the property you will be surprised. Everything was spotless, perfectly clean, got lot of towels, shampoos, free coffee and tea in the common area. Had great night of sleep, bed was clean and comfy! I can't understand people who have any complaints about this place, it exceeded all my expectations after I read some of the reviews. The hosts were also super.friendly. Would absolutely recommend to anyone

Verified reviewGreat location right in the old part of the town. A lot of taverns, restaurants and tourists attractions around
Holes are everywhere. In the towels, in the windows, in the doors. The bed linen is dirty. The temperature in the room is the same as outside. Heating through the air conditioner does not work. There is no kettle in the shared kitchen, no glasses for hot water. You can’t heat water in the kitchen at all; there is only cold water. For such conditions, the price for the room is too high.

Verified reviewThe location of this hostel is superb as it is located in the city center of Cordoba, specifically the Old Jewish Quarter. As such, it is just within a walking distance to the main tourist attractions in Cordoba including restaurants and shops. I also liked the mini garden patio at the ground floor of the hostel. What I liked the best was that it was equipped with a small pantry opposite this patio that comes with a hot/cold water dispenser (thus eliminating the need to buy bottled water at shops outside), a coffee machine, and a microwave, complete with tea sachets, sugar, Biscoff biscuits, stirrers, and paper and plastic cups. Aside from these, our host was very attentive to our needs and provided us detailed instructions to retrieve our keys in a safe right outside the entrance gate of the hostel (given that we arrived late in the evening, otherwise, the check-in process is normally handled by the receptionist).
Just some nitpicks - the coat hanger in our room was already loose when we came, we used the hangers inside the closet instead; also the toilet paper in our bathroom had a weird sewer smell; lastly, since the interiors of the rooms are old, our window cannot be closed properly since the latch was loose.

Verified reviewExtremely good location in the centre. Relaxed atmosphere and spotless. Heater was really good as well was able to adjust the settings so I could keep it on without it getting too hot. The hotel lobby was beautiful too. Other reviews said you could hear the other rooms but I did not experience this, you can only hear people in the hallway when entering their rooms.
The shower ceiling is a little low, it did not bother me but it was exactly my height (6ft) an inch over that and you will have to bend down. No hairdryer (although I didn’t request one). These are small things that didn’t bother me.

Verified reviewStayed at the end of November saturday to Sunday. It was easy to book. Check-in and out were also very easy. The hosts were attentive. The room was very spacious. Very close to the centre. Access to local shops, cafes, and restaurants. In a nice quiet location. No noise or disturbances. The patio area was beautiful. We had two beds; one bed was a little firm, and the other was fine as it had a memoryfoam matress.. For one night I can't complain. We both slept well with no problems. But I can imagine for a longer stay the firm mattress could be a little uncomfortable.
