Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandA truly unique experience. Yes, the smell is not perfect if the windows are closed, but it is not something that should keep you away from booking this place as it's in general wonderful.

SpainThe double bed needs a new matress. There is a dip in the middle which did not help with sleeping with two in the bed. Toilet needs to be fixed, it has running water into the bowl. The sofa was a little small for two people to sit comfortable,
Location good. Near a bar for a drink. The centre was not too far away.

United StatesTransportation in and out of Setenil is difficult without a car, but it is worth a visit if you can get there
Very charming apartment in a cave in the amazing cave town of Setenil de las Bodegas. For an American, it is a glimpse of what the cave dwellings of the southwest might have become if they had stayed occupied.

Czech RepublicThe bed really does need changing, very uncomfortable.
The place is beautiful, quiet part of the town. Experience is as you would expect. Be careful with using maps to find the location - is a little bit tricky.

SpainGetting to the location is quite hard, at some point we nearly got lost in the village, with such narrow streets that would scratch the vehicle. I don't have any issue with the property.
I liked that the house was a cave house. The owner was really professional and called me when I was having issues with my GPS and could not enter the village. The Terracota bar next to the property was really comforting, as you can have a quick breakfast or drink close by.

United KingdomOnly minor, but the bed was a standard double size - a larger bed would have been more comfortable. Also the shower cubicle was quite small but excellent supply of hot water & good pressure did compensate.
The apartment was well designed & thought out, making good use of the space. Lighting was varied in each area making a lovely atmosphere in the apartment. Kitchen had all the basic necessities for a one or two night stay. Location was quiet with a nice walk into the centre of the village. Parking was available nearby.

SpainOnly problem was that the property was difficult to find and without knowing Spanish and calling the owner we would still be walking around looking for the property. The owner was very understanding and came to look for us which was greatly appreciated. There is no house number and no sign to say the name of the property. We even spoke to a couple of bar owners who did not know of the place. For any future bookings the property is the first house in the right after leaving the pay carpark and leaving the car park from the elevator nearest the centre.
Quirky nature of the house. Well thought out and designed interior. Comfortable with everything you needed for a stay. Great that the owner allows dogs to stay for a small excess

CanadaUnfortunately, the key pick was a tad bit of a challenge. The PIN code given was not correct. The owner said twice that an email with the PIN code was sent on JAN 30. I got that email saved if required, as it indicated a different PIN code. Honestly, it is NO big deal as two lovely Spanish ladies were able to assist, and all is good.
