One of the most wonderful places I ever been. Mountains unbelievable beautiful around. Hotel located in the small village with authentic houses. Personal of hotel is attentive, friendly and very flexible. Rooms are clean. Restaurant has perfect kitchen and loyalty prices. I definitely will come back again to this fabulous place.

We had a great stay at Casa Cuevas! The owner is super nice. As we were leaving early the next day before breakfast, they prepared breakfast for us the day before, we even had a thermos with coffee, just amazing :) Everything you need for your stay during a hiking holiday!

Very minor thing, but the door hinges could do with some wd40, and the something to stop the doors being closed noisily. However this is VERY minor and I’m being picky

Can be very busy at weekends. Minor point. Its a steep and narrow road to get here from Posada de Valdeon. Its a dead end road and a steep climb for cyclists to return. Although its on the google map, cycling on the track on the Gorge de Valdeon is not allowed. I pushed my bike the 12km to get to the end of the track and a road. Allow 4 hours . It was not easy!

Good location at the finish of a dead end road, ideal for walkers for the Picos de Europa. There was storage for my bicycle. Plenty of bars and a couple of shops here. Breakfast was good.

We had a fantastic night at Casa Cuevas after walking the Ruta del Cares. This family run restaurant and hotel was very comfortable and the owners were kind and friendly. We arrived quite early but we were able to leave our bags while we explored Cain and had some lunch. We ate a delicious set menu dinner on the terrace with a view of the alpenglow in the mountains and bats swooping around. They took great care to make sure we were comfortable with our baby. Thank you for a lovely stay!

It’s position in Cain which is is a tiny hamlet in a beautiful location. The ability to be able to walk/hike from the hotel. The amazingly friendly family who run the hotel made us feel special.

A wonderful family-run inn located in the most stunning location in the Picos de Europa. I stayed 2 nights to walk the Ruta Del Cares and was overwhelmed with the hospitality and warmth of the proprietors. I look forward to returning and exploring more around the exquisite village of Cain.

Charming hotel in the centre of a beautiful little village. Spotlessly clean and staff really friendly. Not much english spoken and my Spanish is dreadful, but the lovely lady managed to communicate everything to us. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel but it was closed the day we stayed. However, we had breakfast included and it was perfect- a selection of sweet or savoury options; we had coffee, fresh orange juice and toast with tomato and olive oil - delicious! Would highly recommend. The entrance to the Cares Gorge is literally a 5 minute walk from the door of the hotel. Parking is available across the road. Cain itself is utterly stunning, surrounded by the mountains and remarkably well served for a choice of places to eat, considering how tiny it is.

The room was a bit dated, but overall functional and cosy.

Run by a lovely and friendly family. Location was great - less than 5 minutes away from the Ruta del Cares trail. Food was also tasty, we got the menu of the day and enjoyed the fabada stew and honey curd dessert.

The rooms are simple and basic but perfectly adequate for someone who wants to enjoy the stunning surrounds and nature over luxury.

Situated in the most beautiful valley in the Picos de Europa. Perfect mountain stay with friendly, family run staff. The restaurant was good, providing the hearty mountain food of good quality one would expect. The rooms are simple but perfectly comfortable and geared towards the hiking enthusiasts, outdoor type. I loved the terrace outside, very homey and a wonderful spot to sit and relax with a drink surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
