Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Beautiful old building with character in the center of town. Clean comfortable room, bathroom facilities obviously dated but plenty of hot water and good pressure. Friendly, efficient staff coffee provided each morning but no breakfast available.

Because I guess it is out of season, breakfast wasn't available and limited options in the village until late morning. No parking available No facilities in the room for tea/coffee making
The location and the hotel itself were lovely. The room was clean and sufficient for a short stay. The staff were friendly. Our dog was welcome :-)

Parking is a hit and miss affair. I found a few spaces free in the small plaza by the Farmacy about a 100m away.
Lovely old building refurbished to a very high standard. Despite being in the middle of winter, the room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious. Very quiet even though in the centre of town. The bed was extremely comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff team.

There was a problem with the plumbing on the 2nd day of our stay meaning there was limited hot water for showering. The hotel staff was very apologetic and it did not disrupt our stay. They also made amends with a complimentary breakfast. We had read that parking near the hotel would be a problem due to the narrow roads . We found something close by though. This is not a complaint as you have to weigh this up with the location, and whether you would prefer a more modern but less authentic hotel with a car park right outside. Of course, if you have mobility issues, this may not be the place to stay in as there are steep roads and some steps in this part of the village.
The hotel, a charmingly renovated period property, is located in the heart of the village which makes it an ideal place to stay within walking distance of the castle. Check in was easy and staff attentive.

No breakfast available. Very hard beds and pillows. No access at the moment due to roadworks outside. Had to climb across a building site to get access to the only available door after 9pm. I have mobility problems and this was very difficult.
Nice location, friendly and helpful staff. Good size rooms.

We arrived within the check-in hours but they send us entry instructions instead ... and then ignored our question about parking. There was a guy on shift but he ignored us when we came in (we thought he was a guest). The property is very big and I wonder where people are supposed to park (we had a motorcycle so we fit it in somewhere). I can't articulate it but we came away with a negative impression - also, everyone in town seems grumpy!
