Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesBeautifully renovated historic property. Our room was quiet, the bed very comfortable and in a very central location making it easy to explore the city by foot.

IrelandWe were afforded no information about access to the existence of an apparently shared kitchen, cutlery, bottle-opener, etc, We would have appreciated glasses (even plastic) or cups in the bathroom.
Deluxe Suite No 3 was clean, cool and comfortable. The welcoming information about the access codes for the building and our room were very clear and user friendly. The location is terrific. The nearby Magistral Cathedral and the adjacent Plaza de los Dos Santos proved to be key markers that helped us to find our way around the very walkable and impressive UNESCO World Heritage University town. The Casa itself is a model of sensitive restoration. The foyer and communal seating area are very pleasing. The courtyard is very pleasant and has a table with a rather dodgy parasol.

United StatesThe patio can use some TLC, as it looks pretty run-down, and someone should empty the ashtrays outside (patio sitting area). They were full of cigarret butts and it's unsightly. The bed did not have a top/flat sheet, and even though we know this is common in European homes, we did not feel comfortable with the duvet touching our skin, and feel this is not OK for hotels/guest houses, etc. I suggest the wall poster in the kitchen next to the fridge displaying raw meat to be removed (I believe it's a poster for a theater play). It's not pleasant to look at while having coffee in the early morning :( Other than that, all was great!
The location is perfect with easy access to a large patio where you can park your car for 10.00 per night. Alcala is a small town and you can walk everywhere from the house. The house and room were very clean, and our room was huge, the size of a small apartment. Very comfortable. The kitchen is communal and well stocked. You get a shelf in the fridge for your own food, and they have a coffee machine with pods, an electric kettle, a toaster, sugar, etc, etc. Pretty much everything you need for a short stay. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and we had no noise from the street. Stayed 2 nights during Semana Santa.

United StatesThe devil is in the details. I didn't care for the bedding (thin synthetic fabric) and I certainly would've liked to have a glass by my sink to put my toothbrush in. Incidental and disheartening, the batteries died on the digital lock to my bedroom at 10:30 at night. I had to call for help to get into my bedroom. The management was responsive and fixed the problem. My advice to everyone is to always keep your phone on you. Had I not had it I would've been stuck. One last thing, if you're a light sleeper, ask for a bedroom that doesn't have windows to the street. The street cleaners start early in the morning and they're not exactly quiet.
Historical building renovated with magnificent taste. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful dining room. Great volumes and excellent lighting.

ItalyNo coffee or tea making facilities. This matters since in Spain coffee shops are relatively rare. Zero glasses so cannot even drink from the taps.
Very comfortable bed and pillows, and the underfloor heating made it very comfortable temperature- it was cold on arrival but after a few hours was perfect. Spacious room very well modernised while keeping the historic elements.

MalaysiaNothing, we had an excellent stay.
The villa is beautiful and very well equipped. The rooms are very big and the host was very helpful. There are plenty of eateries nearby as well. The only issue we have was getting transport to the hotel. We had to walk 1km at dropoff and pickup as the taxis could not get to it. Without luggage, this won't be an issue.

United StatesWhile internet works great the rooms are not equipped with a desk. The common area where one can conceivably work is essentially a kitchen table.
CdlM is within 3 minutes of the principle social/entertainment area of Alcala. It was great to visit and absorb the social dynamic of this part of the city. I lived in Alcala in the late 80s-early 90s while stationed at Torrejon Air Base - this area (Plaza Cervantes & surrounding streets) is particularly beautiful and improved in all aspects. There are more quality lodging facilities, bars, cultural attractions. CdlM is well within walking distance of it all. A 20-minute walk to the train station will let you take a day trip to Madrid or Guadalajara. The rooms are classically design but modern in aspects: lighting, bathroom fixtures, beds, heat, water, etc. Access is keyless. the kitchen and common area are convenient. We managed to do laundry before our next travel. The airport is a 20 minute/ 30 to 35 Euro ride.
