Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere's nothing at all that we didn't like, but it might be useful for others to know this information: We loved Casa Yare and knew before arriving that it was on the outskirts of town rather than in the busier centre of town, we've been to Costa Teguise many times so already know it's not very hilly and the footpaths are in good condition, we loved walking back and forth, or up to Lidl. There's a good bus service a five minute walk away, €1.40 into town or into Arrecife, and taxis from the central taxi rank cost just over €4 There are two flights of stairs which really aren't bad, but people with mobility issues might find this information helpful.
We loved the amount of space in Casa Yare, plus all the extras that it has over and above other accommodation we've stayed in. Two big bedrooms with air conditioning, and a master bedroom with big TV. The kitchen is very well equipped, with blender, juicer, One pot, multiple chopping boards, utensils and anything I needed to cook. Welcome bottle of wine plus everything you need for using the dishwasher , washing machine and tumble dryer. There are also extension cables so you can charge multiple phones etc. The bathroom has double sinks, a very useful wall cupboard for storing everything away, a walk in shower plus bidet attachment for the loo. We slept in the master bed which was very comfortable, blackout blinds keep the room dark after sunrise. The host had made up the second bedroom beds, but we didn't need them. The views from the large balcony across the El Palmeral complex out to sea, and the sunsets in the evening were excellent. We visited in March and the sun was around at the balcony by ten in the morning. The whole apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and the complex itself though residential is very well kept. The local EuroSpar is a decent size and stocked everything we needed, with a butchery and fish counter. The daytime café just along from the EuroSpar is well priced and has a good choice of dishes on the menu. Because it's residential, there are local pets in the complex, with local people walking their dogs. No mess left on the complex though. We loved the cat who lived opposite Casa Yare, he would wait for us in the stairs and was very friendly. Definitely a pet, no strays in this area. Directions to access the apartment we're sent the day before arrival and included video walkthroughs. Communication was regular from the host, nothing was too much trouble.

United KingdomA car might be useful but we enjoy walking and taxis were cheap and readily available. The apartment is on the top floor up two flights of steps, not a problem for us but maybe if you have mobility issues.
Lovely well equipped 2bed 1 bath apartment on the top floor of what it seems is mostly a residential rather than holiday complex so no noisy drunken Brits but a few ‘Yappy’ dogs. The ‘magic’ camera may have been used for the photos but at 80sq metres there is plenty of room for two couples or family of four. Beds are very comfortable there’s good storage in each bedroom and A/C (only in bedrooms). Kitchen is very well equipped, small dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, coffee M/C, toaster, blender, hob and oven with plenty of pots n pans and numerous other gadgets. The lounge has a dining table, large settee and a flat screen TV with facility to receive UK channels including Sky Sports and although there is Hi speed Wi-Fi the system did freeze on occasions. The outside space with a table and four chairs plus two sunbeds doesn’t really get the sun but is a good size. The complex has two swimming pools, the smaller of the two just a minute from the apartment and both have plenty of sunbeds but not much shade. On several occasions we were the only two around the pool! The large well equipped Eurospar is just a 5 minute walk away and has butcher, fish and deli counters, they’re building a Lidl next door! Yare, our host, was readily available and can understand written rather than spoken English so good communication via WhatsApp and our request for a small electric heater was soon dealt with. We like to walk so didn’t have a car, just 30 minutes to reach the bars and restaurants in town and a taxi back just €5. Recommend the little cafe El Palmeral open 7-3 Mon-Sat just a 5 minute walk away (Look to the left as you turn right to the EuroSpar) but if you want restaurants there’s not much close by so you really need to go into town where, with the competition, the prices are much lower! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Yare, it’s probably the best equipped apartment we’ve ever stayed in and host Yare was very helpful which means we will return.

NetherlandsNothing, it is just great value for money. Just note that the location is a 30-40 mns walk from downtown area and the taxi system is a bit strange (you cannot wave them down in the street or call them yourself to pick you up at a specific place).
Great apartment, really well equipped with everything you might need - and probably more. We stayed here for a week of cycling on the island and particularly appreciated the in-apt space to store our bikes, washing machine and kitchen blender :) Also Yare is a very friendly and helpful host, checking multiple times if we needed anything in the apartment.

IrelandNothing. A little far out from the "action"...but only 4euro in a taxi so no complaints.

United KingdomWe don’t think it’s young child (from crawling/walking to age 4/5) friendly. There are lots of steps up to the apartment and the terrace/barrier has large gaps/is easy for them to climb. We’d recommend that the terrace doors and windows have childproof locks fitted to stop children getting on to it easily. The parking for the car is a lot of hassle and the spaces are very small. You can park on the street though, which may be easier. The pool doesn’t appear to be heated. Not the apartment owners problem, but it’s good to know.
The property was very clean and modern with everything you could need for your stay. Highlights included; air conditioning in the bedrooms (although the apartment stays very cool anyway), an induction hob and modern cooker (with all utensils you could need) and extremely comfortable memory foam beds. The location was very good. A 10 minute walk away from a large Eurospar supermarket and main road where you could get a bus. We’d recommend a car though.
