Absolutely beautiful rustic Spanish hotel set in wonderful location

Only one thing that’s a negative is there is nothing hot for breakfast apart from toast, hot boiled eggs bacon would be a plus but this is not knocking the place

Very cool hotel, built in old quadrangle style, perched atop a hill overlooking a massive water reservoir. Very picturesque looking out onto lake and hills covered with olive trees. Staff was super lovely. Great location for us for day trips to Granada, Cordoba, and some of the white villages.

Pool was full of dead wasps and not cleaned while we were there. Made swimming feel quite perilous. Restaurant staff was great but food was very mediocre. Breakfast was also mediocre - they need better bread. Too bad the hotel is so close to the community pool and track - lots of noise coming from both and track spoils the views somewhat.

Great food, great service, friendly staff. All really good.

Nothing to dislike about this little gem of a hotel

The location of the hotel is perfect - close to the lake/local bars and within walking distance of Iznajar. The staff are very friendly, the pool is an added bonus. Great stay - would recommend.

The breakfast choice was limited, only a selection of cold meats, toast. Would have benefitted from a hot buffet, but guess that’s a personal choice. It is included in the price of the room - so that’s v reasonable.

Air conditioner in room was very noisy. Breakfast ok but basic. No hand soap in bathroom . Had to use the liquid shower soap.

Location is perfect, views from the terraces are excellent

Menu appeared to be traditional Spanish and not quite our taste. However, enjoyed all our meals there as waiting staff and chef very accommodating when it came tweaking the dishes as requested.

Check in was decent. The personell was great in all outlets, restaurant perfect and great quality food. View on the terrace mesmerizing. Gentleman behind reception desk was also waiter and restaurant supervisor. Breakfast descent, good coffee, sweet lady serving us.

Room is very basic. No hair dryer and bath room amenities. Shower head very small and at night the ant colony behind the walls occupied the bathroom. They were everywhere, coming through wall cracks that missed caulking. Also some sort of flying insects were in the sink and toilet. During our dinner it seemed that some manager of the hotel came for dinner as well. He brought his wife, some parents and an infant. His wife was not only breastfeeding the child but the guy also had the audacity to teach the waiter who seemed to be new a lesson in waiting while during serving hours. The arrogance of this man left us with the only bad taste we had during dinner. With a little bit more love and refurbishment this great building and location could grow to a 4 star instead of 2 star.

Beautiful rural location. Spanish Hacienda style building. Excellent, well priced dinner menu.

Unfortunately pool was being refilled when we arrived for our one night stay. Although it was extremely hot weather, the water was very cold! The air con in the room was just not up to the job and insufficient cool air meant we had quite an uncomfortably hot night.

This is a 2 star hotel with 5 star views, love this place, basic but clean and tidy. This was our 7th or 8th visit, highly recommended

Just love it

The staff were friendly and helpful, they kindly let us store our bikes in hotel. It was good value for money.

Room was a little outdated , gardens needed attention.

A lovely location, great outdoors pool with loungers, staff were really helpful and warm and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We chose to have an evening meal at the hotel and this was fabulous.

The hotel seemed understaffed. There were lengthy waits at breakfast for simple things like coffee. Not due to lack of willingness or helpfulness but simply too few people with too many roles. Breakfast was very basic but plentiful.

Comfortable stay, good breakfast, surprisingly very refreshing ice cold beverages. Scenic hotel and decorations. Nice and quiet location. Good nights rest.
