Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe absolutely loved our stay at Cortijo dos Santos. The safari-style tent was so cozy, especially during the chilly nights with the wood fire going and card games around the table. Breakfasts prepared by Leo and Loes were a real highlight. Being surrounded by olive trees gave it such a peaceful atmosphere, and it was the perfect base to explore places like El Torcal, the town of Antequera, the Dolmens in Antequera, and the Lobo Park. A truly relaxing retreat for our family.

United KingdomNice quiet location, very helpful hosts, very comfortable beds and an efficient wood stove for cool nights. We were there during a particularly wet period, so getting up and down the track in the car was a bit tricky…but in dry season this should not be a problem…all in all a very nice stay :-)

United KingdomIt’s a bit noisy at night, but nothing you wouldn’t expect from a canvas outer. The master bed could do with a change of bedding as it was a bit musty and scratchy, but the other beds were perfect.
Fantastic stay. Leo and Loes couldn’t have been better hosts. The lodge was perfect and we didn’t want to leave. The fire was incredible - so cosy and warm. The shower was superb. The kitchen has everything you could need. We absolutely recommend this accommodation! The road is completely accessible in a normal car and we were not at all concerned with finding it in the dark.

GibraltarThere were a lot of mosquitoes, which found their way into the tent despite the insect nets. I would recommend permethrin mosquito repellent plug-ins for the rooms to avoid lots of bites when they are in season.
Absolutely lovely safari tent, located in the middle of Spanish nature and perfect as a base for hiking and exploring. The tent was very lovely, with great kitchen setup and a front deck for enjoying meals and relaxing. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area, including Caminito del Rey and the nearby lakes, as well as El Torcal de Antequera (not to be missed!). The hosts were very friendly, and the breakfast was really good. Will definitely stay again, and it's perfect for groups or families.

United KingdomOnly things that were outside of the control of anyone...there were a ton of wasps by the pool because it was height of summer but it made it tricky to swim when it was really hot and we had to wait until later when the sun set. But the pool area is really lovely. It is a long drive from the road to get there - we are used to rural Spanish tracks but not everyone will be! You wouldn't want to do it in the dark and means it's not possible to 'pop out' if you forget supplies.
It's a unique setting and accommodation which we loved. The combination of wood and canvas feels rustic but it is furnished with all mod cons too so super comfortable. It's very rural so was peaceful and we enjoyed listening to the sounds of nature and lazing on the porch as the sun set.

United KingdomThe access road is in a bad state but you almost forget about it when you see where you will be sleeping. We were there on 2 very windy days and the tent 'made a lot of flapping noises'. It made the camping more realistic
Glamping at its best! In the middle of nature (with all the sounds and noises) but with the comfort of a house. You have a fully equipped kitchen, a stove for heating, wifi (as no telephone reception!), comfy beds and a shower and toilet. Breakfast was served in a nice room near the main house.

RussiaJust some proposals and observations: Would like to have a barbecue place. Good audibility from neighboring tents. Perhaps it would be good to prepare (or at least mark) some trails near the house, and not through neighbors with huge dogs.
An unusual experience in Spanish countryside. Beautiful surroundings in the form of mountains and valleys. I have everything I need, including wireless Internet (but no TV). Nice hosts who explained everything clearly. Despite the cool weather, it was possible to warm up in the house. The last small section of the road that I was afraid of turned out to be quite suitable even after the rains.

United KingdomThere was absolutely nothing we didn’t like. The only criticism I have regarding our stay (which has absolutely nothing to do with the property owner) is that there are neighbouring dogs which bark constantly day and night. This didn’t bother my partner, but I am a light sleeper and struggled to sleep with the noise. I will bring earplugs when we return!!
What a gem of a place! Rustic and rural but with every comfort you wouldn’t generally associate with camping. Our tent was perfect. The kitchen had every pan and utensil we needed (including an assortment of herbs and spices). The log burner was a joy (and very appreciated as we stayed last week in Feb and it was pretty cold in the eves - but we’re toasty with the fire on and thoroughly enjoyed the romantic side of it! The beds were super comfortable and the duvets ensured we were warm. Shower was great and hot and toiletries appreciated. Loved this place so much - we definitely hope to return very soon.

AustriaThere is air conditioning. Which I think is useless and shall not be in such infrastructure.
Sooo quiet at night. 200% in la pampa (unless we were in mountains). Small facility only 3 lodges with people who seek natural qietness. I took one matrece of the beds an slept outside at lodge terrace with wonderful view at sky and stars. Relatively Low light pollution and excellent air with sound of the county. In August hot during the day 35 to 40 at our stay. Perfect at night cooling down to 20. It's an alternative stay I would recommend.

DenmarkWonderfull place for a different experience. Extremely nice and helpfull people running the place! It is so nice and quiet and still close to a rather large village. A very nice pool to cool down and relax. We came on a day with 43degrees and thought it was the worst decision we made sleeping in s tent at that temperature. It was really hot in the evening, but cooled down sooo nicely and we had a wonderfull sleep.
